Omo thugs no dey fear anybody again. And police will be looking at them beating the chairman of APC in ondo State.


Social media is currently awash with disturbing reports that the All Progressives Congress’ Ondo State Chapter’s Chairman was physically assaulted today. This conduct is primitive at best and inhuman at worst.

I have always maintained that we have an insatiable appetite for manhandling one another in Nigeria, frequently turning to violence at the slightest provocation.

It is particularly alarming that this thuggery exists among those seeking high public office. If those who wish to lead millions cannot govern their own tempers, how can they be trusted to safeguard the welfare of the people? This is all shades of wrongful conduct! What could he have done to warrant “a minor form of jungle justice?”

A Dark Day for Ondo State: Governor Aiyedatiwa's Barbaric Show of Shame.

Today, the Ondo State APC party secretariat witnessed a shameful display of violence and intimidation orchestrated by Governor Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa and his thugs, led by the State NURTW chairman. The attack on State Chairman Eng Ade adetimehin is a stark reminder of the governor's desperation and disdain for democracy.

As the party prepares for tomorrow's congress, Aiyedatiwa's actions reveal his fear of facing the reality of his unpopularity. His mobilization of thugs to attack party leaders and members who dare to support alternative candidates at the supposed stakeholders meeting against tomorrow's congress is a clear indication of his dictatorial tendencies.

The intimidation and humiliation of respected party leaders, including members of the Tinubu campaign group, is a new low for Ondo State politics. Aiyedatiwa's actions demonstrate his belief that he is above the party and its constitution, a dangerous mindset that threatens the very fabric of our democracy.

We condemn this act of violence and intimidation in the strongest possible terms. We call on the APC national leadership, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the national chairman of our party, Prof Nentawe Yilwatda to take immediate action to address this situation and ensure that the party's congress is conducted freely and fairly.

To Governor Aiyedatiwa, we say: violence and intimidation will not solve your problems. Your actions will only further erode your credibility and legitimacy. Step down and allow the party to choose its leaders democratically.

He was allegedly fighting against the governor's will. Then governor's loyalists did that job allegedly which the governor himself has denied. I think he was there when aketi was the governor then problem started when he died. More of this will happen before the election.
