We have many dudes who before they made it in life are church goers and clinched to church and prayer but after they are made, that's prayer answered, they stopped going to church.

I know say fraudulent Alfas dey, them even dey run diabolical matter as billing for clients, but for me, I have not seen plenty ones, but I see thousands of fraudulent pastors. Maybe is because I no dey waka anyhow, or maybe because I don't stay more than one day at a town.

As for Carter, maybe the church he attends is a small one, where the pastor may know almost all of the congregation. In a small church, it is impossible to hide or become clandestine, so the pastor will always try to be close to the members he perceive as rich, plus efe is a well-known figure.

One reason I stopped going to church is that I noticed pastors often make it seem like God is only present in their particular congregation. It’s as if the whole world revolves around their church, and they imply that other churches aren’t serving God the right way.
Also there are about three churches around my family house, the pastors of the churches have had several scandals. The most prominent among them was involved in multiple sexual and fornication scandals. He was shot early one Sunday morning in December 2024 on his way to church( i heard the Gunshot and it sounded like knockout since it was during the festive period).
All of this gave me a different mindset toward today’s church. Still, I believe in Jesus and God Almighty 100%.

If any pastor asks you for money..if you feel led to give go ahead..if you don't, OPENLY tell the pastor that you are not led to give..if he insists...LEAVE THAT CHURCH. Any pastor that argues with you quote 2 corinthians 9:6-10...the pastor cannot argue with that...it talks about giving WILLINGLY.

Meanwhile continue going to church because the Bible admonishes us to... Psalms 65:4

You can be a Christian, start your fellowship with your family and people you trust. Jesus never had a church, he was fellowshipping, moving from place to place, the early Christians too followed this pattern, the Apostles were always moving. Christianity the faith and church denominations are two different things.

Pastor or church is not the Christian faith, the Christian faith is about emulating Jesus, if a church is not good, go to another one or start your fellowship. The Christian faith is about emulating the life of Jesus, Jesus never had any church building, he was fellowshipping, doing missionary from place to place. Christianity is not about pastor or church, these are people who claim the faith, but the faith is not about pastor or church, missionary of those early Christian days emulated Jesus, they moved from place to place, never had church but were very righteous Christians.
