Accord Faction Slams INEC Over Adeleke Listing, Insists Clement Kolawole Is the ONLY Legal Candidate

Court Order Ignored? Chris Imumolen’s Camp Accuses Independent National Electoral Commission of Backing ‘Wrong Candidate’ in Osun Showdown

The leadership and faithful members of the *Accord loyal to Chris Imumolen* strongly condemn what can only be described as a reckless and partisan action by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the Osun State gubernatorial process.

Despite a subsisting and valid court order recognizing Prof. Chris Imumolen as the authentic National Chairman of the Accord Party, INEC proceeded with deliberate disregard for the rule of law by listing Ademola Adeleke as the Accord gubernatorial candidate in Osun State.

This action is not only unlawful; it is a direct assault on constitutional order, party autonomy, and the integrity of Nigeria’s democratic framework.

INEC Is Not a Faction of Accord

INEC is not a member of the Accord Party. INEC is not an interested party in our internal leadership matters. INEC is not a political stakeholder to defend one faction over another.

INEC is constitutionally established as a neutral and independent electoral umpire, mandated to regulate political parties without bias, fear, or favour. Yet, in this instance, the Commission has acted in a manner that gives the disturbing impression that it has chosen sides, aligning itself with the Maxwell-led faction contrary to a valid judicial pronouncement.

Even more alarming is the speed and manner with which INEC Osun responded after the primaries conducted by the Prof. Chris Imumolen-led leadership. The primaries were conducted on a Sunday, and shockingly, INEC issued a declaration that same Sunday , a non-working day , invalidating the exercise.

Such extraordinary administrative speed raises serious and legitimate questions:

* How was a thorough review conducted within hours?
* What processes were followed?
* Why the urgency?
* And who benefited from such haste?

The Nigerian public deserves answers.

The Lawful Candidate Remains Hon. Clement Kolawole

Let it be clearly and unequivocally stated:
The only legally recognized and duly nominated candidate of the Accord Party in Osun State is Hon. Clement Kolawole, whose nomination form was properly submitted to INEC following a validly conducted primary election under the lawful National Chairman.

Any other listing is premature, questionable, and subject to judicial review.

Respect for the Judiciary Must Be Non-Negotiable

When a High court gives an order recognizing party leadership, compliance is not optional. Selective obedience to court orders undermines democracy and encourages institutional lawlessness.

The matter remains before the Federal High Court for final determination, and we have absolute confidence that the judiciary , the last hope of the common man will rise to defend the rule of law and protect democratic sanctity.

If a regulatory body begins to:

* Disregard subsisting court orders,
* Impose its preference on internal party affairs,
* Appear to defend one faction against another,
* Or act with suspicious speed in favor of certain political interests,

then democracy itself is placed at risk.

Nigeria’s democracy cannot thrive where arbitrariness replaces law, and where regulatory institutions overstep constitutional boundaries.

We state categorically:

1. Prof. Chris Imumolen remains the authentic National Chairman of the Accord Party as recognized by law.
2. Hon. Clement Kolawole is the only validly nominated Accord candidate in Osun State.
3. INEC must immediately correct its records to reflect compliance with the subsisting judicial order.
4. Any attempt to undermine lawful party leadership will be vigorously challenged through all legal and constitutional means available.

We are not intimidated.
We are not deterred.
We are fully committed to due process, democratic order, and the supremacy of the Constitution.

History will judge institutions not by convenience, but by their adherence to justice.

The Accord Party under Prof. Chris Imumolen will continue to stand firm in defense of party integrity, democratic accountability, and the rule of law.

Justice may be delayed, but it cannot be denied.
*Signed,*

This Adeleke must not be allowed to do second term.

The criminal has turned Osun to a thug and tout avenue.

He released a convicted hardened criminal from jail because he's helping the king of Ede grab land for Redeemers University and other wicked entities.

Do not be deceived by the cosmetic roads he's constructing. Go to Ede and see how those roads and sidewalks have started tearing apart. And it's just a year!

I'm just happy that the dilapidation didn't exempt Redeemers University. You can't support evil and reap good.

The bridges Oyetola and Aregbe built are still standing.

His SSA on security is a known thug with loads of murder cases in court.

That the empty barrel found its way into Abeere marks a new low in Nigeria politics.

None of his brothers can let him supervise the smallest of their personal projects.

But they wickedly forced him upon the people of Osun because of their greed.

Only God can repay those wicked souls for their injustice.

Adeleke must go.

Anyone supporting APC should check his brain. Something must be missing there. I will rather vote Adeleke again and again than allowing APC, the evil party that has no internal democracy. Party of looters.
