Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar said this on his Facebook wall:

This morning, I was in Gwarinpa with other leaders of our party, the African Democratic Congress ADC), including my brother, H.E. Peter Obi, ahead of the Saturday, February 21 FCT Council elections

We have been speaking with voters about why this election is important and why ADC candidates should be the right choice

This election is very important. It will say a lot about how ready the managers of our elections are to deliver free, fair and credible polls. It will also say a lot about how ready people are to chase the APC out.

I have encouraged voters to come out in large numbers to vote for ADC candidates across all FCT Councils in the elections.

Our party has fielded candidates with competence, capacity and character to offer quality leadership across local councils in Abuja
Voters have the responsibility to defy all forms of intimidation, and make the right choice.

The APC-led Federal Government under Bola Tinubu has failed citizens on many fronts. Ilt has failed to fix the economy. It has failed to fix our education. It has failed to keep our country safe. It has pushed the citizens of a rich nation into deeper poverty. It has allowed criminal elements to hold citizens to ransome

APC must be voted out in the coming elections, and we should start with the FCT elections! -AA[

If I see another person to whom it may concern, In as much as I like to see the ADC win, this Atiku reason to me will not win sincere supporter because, what Nigeria want is not just to chase APC away, not just changing government but to improve the welfare of our society,and with right people in the seat things hand change, though his reasons also include but that's is secondary. But with Nyeso Wicked I don't see any road leading to the victory. Unless those leaders will be on the ground to prevent the security from doing the bid of the APC

Something they should have done in 2023, now that tinubu is power and APC has seized almost 30 out of 36 governors they are now coming together at a loss

What a great loss it will become for Obi and Atiku

I don’t think many understand the impact of the new electoral act on Atiku. Indirect primaries have been abolished. It is now 1 man 1 vote. The days of delegates and dollar rain are over. This is a serious injury to Atiku.

Obi’s chances of clinching the ADC ticket just shot up from 0% to 35%. That’s the good news for Obidients.

The bad news is: if Obi gets the ticket, it’s a guaranteed landslide victory for Tinubu.

All 30 governors including the V.P Shettima were in this gathering in Kano few days ago but look at the "Mammoth crowd". 30 governors is just equivalent to 30 votes. And some votes might still be declared invalid among the 30.
