Only Palace and Westham(both 8 ) have dropped more points from winning position than Arsenal(7) this season in EPL. I never even thought about this until i saw this tonight. |

mostob:Please don't put Haaland in same sentence as Gyokeres who was very ineffective today as always falling like brother Bernard, Saka put him through in the 1st half and he couldn't even execute a cross in with 3 players waiting in the box and even fumbled a simple back-pass back to Saka...There are many times his poor holdup play gifted possession to Wolves today... I won't blame Arteta for hauling him off but would blame him for negative tactics of sitting off Wolves with only 2-1 advantage, we did same in the 1st leg and it almost burned us then against Sunderland, Liverpool etc... defending slim advantages against less fancy sides with all the talents at his disposal is indictable or an indictment... |

mostob:He's been playing Eze at 10 and he hasn't cover himself in glory at all. Remember the last match Saka played 10 and it was a good outing for the team. So u should understand why Saka was used as a 10 in this match considering we are even playing the lowest ranked team on the league table.. As regards taking Gyokeres off, if u noticed in the first half most of the balls that got to him were either drifting to the right or left and Gyokeres was struggling to dribble his way into the box. I believe the manager subbing him off for Jesus was because Jesus is actually a good dribbler who can move with the ball at his feet. Jesus even scored vs Wolves in the first leg after Gyokeres played rubbish in the same game. We didn't start the match with the intention of loading aerial balls to our front man, so playing Gyokeres for the full match may seem like putting ourselves at disadvantage as at the team that decision was being made. I honestly believe we were outdone by weak mentality in this match. The players were just too nervy and didn't get their acts together. All of the players we fielded today are capable of playing in a team that will drub Wolves as much as 4 unreplied goals, it was just the mentality with which they prosecute this match that is very stinking. |

BlueRayDick:I mean in our general play towards some games this season, after scoring a goal, we'll relax, recycle ball in our half, sit back instead of looking for more goals It's tiring |

The league is almost gone and if care is not taken, Mancity could start the process of us going trophyless by stopping us in the Carabao Cup. To me, I believe we have over achieved by being in this position in the first place. There are numerous times that set pieces and own goals have come to rescue us. Our attack is very average for a side that is trying to win the league. Our left side of attack has been uninspiring, both martinelli and trossard are two hideous twins. None of them can comfortably dribble a cone to save their lives. Madueke that is decent on the ball lacks end product and Saka our only hope in attack has been inconsistent largely due to injury. Gyokeres has been having a poor campaign, I doubt he will score up to 15 league goals by the end of the season. We need to start having conversation about Zubimendi. He is mostly giving sideway passes and back passes. No initiative to give line breaking passes. He has papered over the cracks by scoring crucial goals for us. But he is still struggling in his primary role. When we are playing physical teams, he struggles a lot. His signing has been a step down when compared with Partey or Xhaka. Overall, Arteta deserves the blame for not being brave in his approach. It is not every game you must pair Rice with Zubimendi. |

Rice and Eze having a spat over that delayed corner kick that Eze ought to take before Ref ordered Rice to be fast. Jover was furious at the players and MA had to push him to the back to calm down. Rice Pulling off his jersey in Anger. He was average tonight Let's sha pray nothing do this Rice. |

Gabzy1:@bolded That’s poppycock and you know it. You guys have been 2nd for 3 consecutive seasons. You haven’t overachieved. That’s stagnation. You can say you’ve overachieved if last season you finished 4th or are way off the title race. The fact that you’re dueling with a weakened City side makes it even worse. You should’ve won it last season. You should be winning it this season. Yet it’s slipping away. What you should be doing now is asking for blood. |

iamoyindamola:Na mentality. Una players and coach are weak in the mind. See that Raya panic that caused the second goal…You need a strong character on the pitch that others will look up to. The first one is always the toughest. |

MSGAMBLE9:Comparing Haaland to Gyokeres is like comparing panasonic to LG. I'm talking about fitness because the only reason he got subbed may be due to the spurs match. He could have finished the match yesterday and still play that spurs match. The players are not really ready to win trophies. They're too relax and they always chicken out. Jover almost entered the field to fight them. |

BlueRayDick:It's so shameful. The present crop of players have brought nothing but shame to the fanbase. When you heard them talking tough on TV, you would expect them to show workings on the pitch. Now, they have lost another EPL. Are they not ashamed? |

iamoyindamola:Why won't he take responsibility? Them no born am well na. Whats his excuse for this season? when he is not delusional. Honestly, there a players we need to move on from the team. 1. G Jesus 2. Odegaard 3.Martinelli 4. Trosaard 5. White. We need fresh energy and fresh ideas. |

Fkforyou:If White can resolve his fitness issue, I will still have him around. The top 4 can get out. We suppose get like 100m from their sales. A LW and at least two midfielders (AM and CM). That match was an eyesore but when Jesus started fighting after the final whistle, I had to exit my streaming app. Like where was this fighting spirit during the match? |

mostob:We don't need to be defending slim advantages with the talents we have got, the only reason we are still in the title race is down to our backline as I pointed out the last time the team general play has not improved from last season, it seems to be regressing for me especially with creativity... People like Nelli, Tro would not start at Villa or Newcastle, we need an elite LW of Bayern's Diaz mold.. E pain me, na just to avoid social media and radio for the next few days : ![]() |

BlueRayDick:You captured it right, he (Gyokeres) couldn't control most of the passes getting to him leading to turnover of possession to Wolves... I would not blame the Manager for his substitution, he was ineffective... |

| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by iamoyindamola(m): 9:29am On Feb 19 |
Fkforyou:Yes, apari players are not better than ours apart from haaland Arteta prioritise defence which is limiting majority of our attacking players, even wen wengay would have won 1_2 leagues this man bottled. How can we approach wolves that's 20 in the league with defensive mindset, no line breaking passes no risk takers. |

Gucciboy:I disagree. Arteta and Arsenal are competing against each other. I have always maintained this since two seasons ago that what other teams are doing ain't our business. Let's just win our matches. In 2024, we lost needless points in the first half of the season and lost the league by 2 points. In 2025, Liverpool were hobbling and wobbling but we didn't take advantage. Where the Pep 'talk' comes in is in other league where you can afford to be lax and relax, you can't do that with Pep. That guy na demon. He go punish you. Arsenal's performance in the last 3 years would have won them maybe 2 league titles in other leagues but not in EPL where Pep is. You need to strive to be 100% to beat Pep. |
