Depends on who can guarantee him what he dearly wants in rivers in 2027. Wike seems to have the upper hand considering he's in control of both the APC and what remains of the PDP in the state. Last month, he was boasting openly about his support for the president not being taken for granted, and only stopped short of openly asking Tinubu to abide by agreements. As it stands now, Tinubu isn't after who can generate genuine votes. He is only after who can rig for him, like in 2023. That bill clearly fits Wikes abrasive persona, notwithstanding that Tinubu has been warned off Wike by even Lagos GAC. Time will tell. But I totally agree that a storm would eventually brew between them, but all of that would be after 2027, irrespective of the 2027 polls outcome.

You're right. Wike embarked on a show of force when it appeared that APC were planning to doublecross him. The veiled threats made Tinubu re-evaluate the situation and put a pause on all hostilities but I know Tinubu is only bidding his time. Wike will not wait till after 2027 because he needs to reclaim Rivers in order to get immunity (hibernating in government house like Yahaya Bello) and financial war-chest. He also knows Tinubu and a lot of APC governors, GAC and even Tinubu wants to cut him to size to reduce his "overbearing" influence. Wike will not just settle for any other promise made by Tinubu because he now knows that Tinubu can easily renege, like he did with Elrufai and attempted to do with Wike earlier. A lot will depend on who comes out on top in the direct primaries and the level of influence the federal can have on that.
