In Western Christianity, Lent is a 40-day period of fasting and prayer that excludes Sundays. While the season spans from Ash Wednesday to Holy Saturday (46 days total), the six Sundays within that period are not counted in the 40 days of fasting because they are considered "little Easters" or days of celebration. Key Aspects of Sundays in Lent: Not Fast Days: Sundays are not considered days of penance or fasting; instead, they are days of rejuvenation and celebration of Christ's resurrection. Breaking the Fast: Many Christians choose to pause their personal Lenten sacrifices (e.g., giving up sweets or social media) on Sundays. Still Part of the Season: While not "fasting" days, Sundays are still part of the liturgical season of Lent and remain a time for spiritual reflection and, for Catholics, continued abstinence from meat if practiced. Essentially, Sundays serve as a weekly break from the rigorous, penitential, and fasting focus of Lent.

lugo99:The same way Meusliims deceive themselves that they are fasting. Meusliims eat heavy breakfast in the morning and heavy dinner. Yet, they lie to themselves that they are fasting. Is that fasting or self deception?! The fact that yiou eat breakfast means yiou have already broken yiour fast. Meusliims and fiake copy copy fasting are 5 and 6! ![]() |

Catholics do not fast on Sundays. Every Sunday is day of the Lord, a mini Easter, a day of celebration, so we do not fast. If count all the days from Ash Wednesday to Holy Saturday, it should give you 46 days. When you take away the 6 Sundays, you have your 40 days of Lent. |

I expect the OP to have backed up his story with strong reference from the Bible, Jesus Christ or stories about how the disciples observed fasting. If you can't provide a convincing reference, then you were just expressing your own view. |

Medical fasting starts 8 hours after your Last meal After I recommend it for good health Fast for 24 hours Medical fasting allows you to drink water If you aare not trained you can eat water melon PROCEDURE Eat your evening meals at 6, 7 or 8 pm Sunday Then On Monday no food Drink only water or tea with no sugar no milk Tea is tea not chocolate Teabags UNTIL 6,7, 8 AM on Tuesday Then consume liquid food like custard or fruits and one other meal that day Make that a regular lifestyle Diabetes and many illnesses will run from you Generally avoid that feeling of belleful when you eat leave room for at least 1 bottle of water |

P1PrinceKT:Show me what makes Christianity harsher. Did Christianity say yiou should kiell anyone who leaves Christianity like Isliam is preaching? Did Chriistianity say yiou should keill anyone who doesn't pray like Islieam is preaching? Did Chriistianity say yiou should keill anyone who is not a Chriistian like Isleam is preaching?! So, tell me exactly how Christianity is harsher. Don't run away. Answer my questions! |
