Government should serve the interest of it's people. If the people of the state are okay with it then good because that is why people vote for who will do what they want |

You're the biggest hypocrite for forgetting so soon that there was once a time something called seat at home on mondays not for a religious reason, not for a political reason but for hatred on the government Mamaafrik1: |

I have lived in the south and north and I have been to kebbi, Seriously, the weather in kebbi is extremely harsh. The sun is too much and the harmattan is too much. The place looks like Niger republic. Sometimes you have to be in some of these states to understand what they go through in terms of weather. Kindly try and travel to kebbi you will understand. They are hardworking people mostly rice farmers, onions, garlic etc. They also have great fishermen in the Argungu axis. Seriously the weather there is not friendly. Mamaafrik1: |

Tbasicme:Did you see such preferential treatment for Christians in Bauchi, Jos,or Taraba despite that Christian fasting is Usually more tedious?? Or are they the only hardworking ones with ill harsh conditions? Is Sudan and Niger and chad not more harsher than northern Nigeria?,so why are we not having such treatment for Christians?? That is your minds playing games on you, your point holds no water |

nurudeen181:Stop being hypocritical,Seat at home was condemned by governors,Soludo, titi and hope condemned it just recently and sensible masses in the south, read it up online and stop finding silly excuses. Are they the only religion in the North?? Are Christian Fasting not even more tedious than Muslims? Are there no Christian dominated area like Bauchi,Taraba, benue, plateau with such geographical skewness??,why are we not having such special treatment for fairness?? Are there no even much harsher areas in Souther Sudan and chad with worse climatic conditions and with Christians who eat only once in 24hours as compared to Muslim who eat twice in 24 hour and only skip lunch in the name of fasting ??Grow up and learn to say the truth. No be everything be taqquiya Mr Nurudeen mumuni |

You're just a hypocrite, if they reduce working hours because of fasting, shey na only muslims they reduce the working hours for,? Abi if one governor reduce working hours for him people and another government decided not to, how is it a problem of the governor that decides to. Who stops the rest from not reducing or even abolishing during their religious timing. Hatred has taking over your sense of reasoning and judgement Mamaafrik1: |

Mamaafrik1:Reverend Hyacinth Iormem Alia, the Governor of Benue State, declared an extended Christmas and New Year holiday for civil servants, beginning 24 December 2024 and ending 6 January 2025 — roughly a two-week/10-day period What about this in North-Central? Was it condemned by you people? A whole 10 days to sit at home Now someone reduced working hours by 2 hours, you are here shouting your a** out. |

Why single out only the Muslim, when Ramadan and Lent falls in the same period? Are there no Christians in kebbi state? The Lent period is longer than Ramadan period, what will happen to those observing Lent after the expiration of Ramadan? Are they going to revert to 8-2 or what? |
| Re: Ramadan: Kebbi Government Reduces Working Hours For Civil Servants by Mamaafrik1(m): 6:41pm On Feb 19 |
Opahcreations:Whether done by Alia or Muslim governor, biased rulership or favouritism breeds injustice and should be condemned. |

nurudeen181:Do the same governor do same for other religion during their religious rite?? If he doesn't,what is he? If I say because I am a Christian,I will be taking 3 hours off my work hours while working under you, will you be okay with it and still pay full salary?? Favouritism whether done by a Muslim or Christian is corruption in disguise. Grow up |

Incognito403:Don't ever compare Kebbi to any southern state. Never. In 2025, Kebbi's IGR was 18B. For the whole year. 21 LGAs. ![]() Yet in 2026, they are coming up with a budget of more than 500B. That's the IGR of like 3 Local governments in some states. While many states can afford certain expenses, a poor state like Kebbi depends on the goodwill of other states and needs to manage every kobo they get. |

You're the one that needs to grow up cause you keep repeating the questions you answered yourself. Do other governors in the south during the religious holidays do same for Muslims...... Very simple thing Mamaafrik1: |

nurudeen181:It's like you need to go back to brighter grammar. Let me ask you will you allow your staffs to take 3 hours off (keeping their old emoluments) at your organisation because their are Christians or Muslims?? Don't let religious sentiments blind your sense. Either Christians or Muslims, however is reducing his work hours because of fasting is an hypocrite. |
