Other states are led by a single competent Governor, whereas Osun has the distinction of having two de facto Governors alongside a ceremonial Governor🤔🚶🚶

You said Oyetola injected 12,000 workers before he left the government in 2022 but don’t forget that your governor, Ademola Adeleke sacked those 12,000 workers immediately he was sworn-in.. So why is he still paying those that he has sacked or you think everyone is a f**l here🤷🏼♂️ Can someone give those people that are defending this government a knock to reset their brain🤣

The Tragedy of Commons in Osun By Ismail Omipidan I have read and carried out extensive research on issues in the last 23 months than I have done in over three decades. And as I read , I come across issues and contents that perfectly fit our situation in Osun. Just this morning, I stumbled on the Theory of the "Tragedy of Commons." By simple explanation, the theory, conceptualised in 1833 by British writer, William Forster Lloyd, simply means an "economic and environmental science problem where individuals have access to a shared resource and act in their own interest, at the expense of other individuals." This situation , scholars further argued, could result in overconsumption, underinvestment, and depletion of resources. Isn't that our situation in Osun at the moment? Despite their touted international connections and promises of attracting foreign investments to Osun, it is almost two years now, no single direct Foreign Investments. Yet, they are on record to have traveled abroad in the name of seeking investors more than what one could imagine, since they were installed November 2022. What about IGR? They claim to have blocked the leakages, yet, IGR is leaking. Their IGR for 2023 fell short of what they inherited. A single individual who is passionate about Osun, donated multi-million naira hospital equipment to the Ifetedo General Hospital. But for over a year now, the government is yet to find time to go inaugurate the equipment so the public can begin to use them. A government that has no time to inaugurate hospital equipment is regularly seen at parties and other not-too-important functions within and outside the state. What a tragedy! How many of Osun citizens have seen the video clip of the governor presenting the 2025 budget? Did you hear him say anything? I was in Osun last week deliberately to witness the proceeding. I was taken aback 24 hours later to hear that the event took place. Yet, no journalist of note was invited to cover the event, simply because they deliberately wanted a cover-up. Last year, the governor could hardly read coherently a one-page budget speech, the first in the history of Osun State. This year, to cover up the sheer embarrassment the governor has become, they refused to allow full coverage of the presentation. What a shame! To show how lazy and incompetent the mediocre minds around the government are, they could not even scrutinise what they released to the public well, to realise what they presented to us as the theme and focus of the budget last year, was the same thing they passed on to us, this year. What a tragedy! Truth is, they don't know. See the samplers: "Osun State governor, Ademola Adeleke on Thursday, presented an impressive sum of N273.9 billion 2024 Appropriation bill to the state House of Assembly. "According to Adeleke, the “ 'Budget of Reconstruction and Recovery' is divided into a Recurrent Expenditure of N165.65 billion and a Capital Expenditure of N108.25 billion. "The governor said that the budget’s primary objective is to rejuvenate and reconstruct the state’s economy, which was in a dire state when his administration took over. " Hear what they said last week too: "Governor, Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has presented a proposed sum of N390,020,277,740 Billon as the 2025 Appropriation Bill before the State House of Assembly. "The 2025 Budget proposal tagged 'Reconstruction and Recovery,' according to the Governor aims to reconstruct the damaged economy and infrastructure gaps in Osun State, including setting a fiscal stimulus against the impact of global economic recession." Haa! O ma se o! How did we get here? Who did this to us? In the past, no reasonable and responsible parent would want to identify with the child who is being alleged to be a criminal. But not in Osun under this current administration. Someone was found with a British Beretta, a pistol, only found in possession of Police Officers.

Oriade LG Chairman Obeisun Blasts Adeleke Over Alleged N13.7bn Payroll Fraud, Demands EFCC and ICPC Probe The Executive Chairman of Oriade Local Government, Hon. Olubunmi Ezekiel Obeisun, has strongly criticized Osun State Governor, Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke, over an alleged N13.7 billion payroll fraud said to have rocked the state’s public service system. Obeisun described the development as alarming and called for immediate scrutiny to protect the integrity of governance in Osun State. In a statement released through his media aide, the council chairman disclosed that a payroll audit conducted in collaboration with a Lagos-based auditing firm led by its Chief Executive Officer, Sadat Baraking Otun, reportedly uncovered serious financial discrepancies. He alleged that despite the findings presented, the state government has failed to address or resolve the issues raised by the auditors. Obeisun recalled that former Governor Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola handed over about 12,000 workers at the end of his administration, noting that the previous government struggled throughout its four-year tenure to meet salary obligations and staff emoluments. He, however, accused Governor Adeleke of issuing an executive order that nullified and reversed the appointments upon assumption of office, a move he described as detrimental to workers and their families. The Oriade council boss commended Sadat Baraking Otun for speaking publicly on the matter during an appearance on Channels Television, stating that the disclosure was in the interest of Osun citizens. Obeisun described as “barbaric and unacceptable” the alleged tracing of funds meant for over 5,000 workers into a single individual’s bank account, insisting that such claims must not be ignored. While reaffirming his commitment to transparency and accountability at the grassroots level, Obeisun applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for supporting local government autonomy and strengthening institutional frameworks. He argued that federal backing has been instrumental in safeguarding local councils and preventing what he termed reckless mismanagement of public resources. Obeisun therefore called on the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC), the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), and other security agencies to urgently investigate the alleged fraud and ensure justice is served. He emphasized that Osun State must be protected from financial impropriety, while reiterating his dedication to good governance and the welfare of the people of Oriade Local Government. Signed: Media Unit, Office of the Chairman, Oriade Local Government Secretariat, Ijebu-Ijesa.

press9jatv:What hypocrisy?? Are you not an hypocrite by pretending you were not one of the promoters of Adeleke. After Una don collect money but get disagreement over future money, Una go dey form saint. What prompted the promotion of Adeleke to become gov in the first place, let's even ignore certificate, what job experience either in public or private enterprise prompted the support if not money? Even with noise of bubu failed in his certificate, e get soldier experience, Tinubu get experience working for private entity, atiku get for customs, obi get for bank, despite the questionable certificate of those listed or their low grade in sch, dem still get experience. Ọya mentioned why you supported Ademola Adeleke considering the way you were against anyone that disagreed with your choice then? Either you did it for money or you are a hypocrite |

What's the constitutional role of the state house of Assembly? Matter such as this makes people doubt the usefulness of our democracy. You really can't blame those who see the situation as hopeless. |
