You can fact check instead of thinking it's a propaganda. Ask yourself between Russia and UK which is more populated. You don't just end there some part of USSR speak the Russian language so those countries today part of them speak Russian language like in Ukraine for an example.

This is how some people think their brain is firing on full cylinders then fail big in small WAEC. In continental Europe, no one natively speaks English outside of UK, Ireland, Gibraltar, Isle of Man and maybe only a small minority in Malta. That's around 70 to 75 million.

Russian is natively spoken in Russia, East of Ukraine, Belarus, Latvia, Estonia, Moldova. That's more than 130 million in Europe alone. No other language comes close.

The Scandinavian countries of Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and even the Netherlands on Continent Europe speak very fluent English.

The Scandinavians have ancestral ties with several parts of the United Kingdom haven carried out several raids on villages for plunder and settled as Danish and/or Norwegian Vikings on the British Isles many centuries back and they fathered children who had blonde hairs like them. So, this ancestral link definitely spurred the Scandinavians to learn to speak fluent English in their homelands as well as their individual or native languages.

I spoke only English when I visited Norway and most of them heard me. Same with Finland. Even Poland though I didn't go there but a friend there spoke only English until he learned Polish.

This is why reading and comprehension is an underrated skill. Modern Scandinavians speak English fluently mainly because it’s taught from a young age in schools and widely used in media, not due to ancestry from the British Isles. Distinction here is "NATIVE".
Scandinavians/Nordic don't speak English natively. They speak Danish, Swedish, Finnish or Norwegian or Icelandic.

I grew up reading massive volumes of encyclopedia in my family home library from several decades ago (over 5 decades ago) and I know full well the meaning of "NATIVE."

You made some valid points in your first post and even this post that I'm responding to and I merely chipped in some historical FACTS or insights about the Scandinavian relationship with the British Isle to make the subject matter wider. Period.
