Public primary school has always been free. There's no public primary school that you pay school fees if I can recall vividly. What they paid then was levy

How will a SSS 3 student not be able to write an English sentence correctly without errors, meanwhile a primary 5 student from a decent school can do miles better!

When Yorubaland with headstart in western education in Africa and highly populated has been exposed to free education since about a century ago, Benue that has fewer people and less educationally-developed is just declaring free education. Smh.

Some Benue leaders sat on the progress of their own peiople yet blame outsiders as being responsible for their own backwardness. This is shame on their leaders until now.

I am always happy about the free and compulsory education AKwa Ibom state Gov implemented. It really made great changes.

Is primary school not free before?

Its a good news but my question is why didn't he declare it earlier last year or even last two years? He waited to use it for his campaign for next general elections. Any construction or commitment made by any governor seeking for re-election next year now it's a political campaign that might not see the light of the day. Nigerians are not even serious with their lives at all. We are too get carried away by these human beings called politicians. We can't hold them accountable yet they return to us very close to the electionary periods using our heads. Paying our pple to rig elections for them and see our so called senators and house of reps. After all their mischief, they will soon run to us. We are the true problem of Nigeria not them the politicians.

But 95% public primary schools in Benue especially those in the ruler areas remain deserted, parents now enroll their children in private schools due to low standards and persistent strikes in previous years.
