At this point, men are hell-bent on ruining Simi's marriage by projecting AG as a retirement plan and attacking his ego.

Do not reward a combative overly- temperamental woman with commitment; and certainly not a ring. She'll bring you reproach.

There are hundreds and thousands of such narratives of her old tweets going viral now, and knowing X folks, they'd run her out of X and ruin her reputation.

For the first time in years, Simi united Tech Twitter, Crypto Twitter, Tribalismo Gang, BATists, Obidients, Patriarchy FC...everyone. Not even EndSARS united them this closely.
The reproach in question being dragging from jobless 18/19 year old red piller randos on the Internet?

Husband and wife are artistes, wife is a super fan of JCole, husband links with JCole and facilitates a FaceTime with his wife's favorite artiste and you guys believe this is what you'd use to drive a wedge in their marriage or make AG feel less of himself grin

I'd be surprised if this dragging is anything more than comic relief to them.

They are not reliable evidence and the threshold for them to be admitted is very very high.
Since you are hellbent on being an illiterate for something everyone can confirm this minute, I will ignore you.

I can swear on everything in the universe that you haven't read the Cybercrime Act, either 2015 or 2024.

And you do not know that the templating of the hyphenated "Cyber-" adjudges electronic transmission in all regards where WhatsApp falls under.

I will not dignify someone who refuses to read something so basic yet arguing in complete ignorance with any reply going forward.

Stop deceiving yourself. WhatsApp conversations and every social media conversations and chats are weak evidence and are easily dismissed in court for being unreliable. But it's ok, keep on living in your bubble.

Nobody gives a tuppence about any of these people. For the Twitter trolls, if they can push an agenda, get a hearty laugh, with engagements and go viral, soundboarded by blogs to Facebook and Instagram and even news websites, which makes them more popular, they would ruin your life for it.

Your pain is no more than a topic for engagement, from Mohbad to Simi.

I don't believe Simi doesn't love Adekunle Gold. She's just a fan of J Cole. I believe she's crazy in love with AG and she didn't just settle for him.

I had my own phase of 'simping' for Kelly Rowland as the most gorgeous woman in the world, and Lana Del Rey. I wasn't following either on social media but I loved them.

Only thing is, I never posted or fantasized about banging Kelly or coercing her to have a baby by me even with voodoo hypnotism, or claiming if I meet her in person, I would slip by my wife to go bang Kelly Rowland.

Now that's borderline obsessive and 'rapéy' – the very thing she campaigns against today.

John Legend's wife is a pariah because of old tweets about her fantasizing about råping kids and môlesting men. Carbi B use to tweet about drûgging and rôbbing men.

Unfortunately, women don't face the same consequences men face so...

It's a bit weird, and a way women show they're simping for celebs, but it's common enough to be overlooked, and yea, it'd be looked at differently if a guy made such tweets cause they're often physically capable of carrying such acts out.
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by DissTroy(m): 8:43am On Feb 21
Just google this:

"High profile cases of WhatsApp evidence admitted in court trials in Nigeria".

One even happened 15 days ago in an EFCC #10 billion case, and one of the defendants is also being tried for deleting WhatsApp chats after evidence had been tendered to the effect.

But one barely-literate guy on Nairaland with no recuse to the law or being able to reference any law which prohibits WhatsApp evidence being admissible in court trials wants to counter referenced laws.

I do wish some of you argue these things on the wider internet with your full details so you can be humiliated and your unintelligence forever linked to your name.

Like I stated, you have never read the Cybercrime Act even though it's been in effect for 11 years now. Typical Nigerian running on vibes and hearsay without facts when it comes to the law.

If it's not properly done it's weak evidence, but when properly done is admissible.
https://lehiattorneys.com/divorce-admissibility-of-digital-evidence-whatsapp-chats/

Legal Framework

WhatsApp messages qualify as digital evidence under Nigerian law, and their admissibility is governed by provisions of the Evidence Act, 2011, particularly Section 84, which deals with computer-generated evidence. For WhatsApp chats (or similar digital records) to be admitted in court, the following conditions must be satisfied:

Regular Use. The computer or device must have been in regular use during the period when the document containing the chats was produced.
Regular Supply of Information. The type of information contained in the chats must have been regularly supplied to that device in the ordinary course of activities.
Proper Functioning. The computer or device was operating properly during this time.
Authenticity of the Information. The information in the document containing the chats was derived from information supplied in the ordinary course of use.
Challenges

While WhatsApp messages can help prove your claims in matrimonial proceedings, they are not without challenges. Some of the main concerns include:

Susceptibility to manipulation.

Screenshots and forwarded chats can be edited, deleted, or taken out of context. Restoration tools can alter data, and metadata may be invisible without expert extraction. Without proper extraction or certification, the other party may argue that the evidence has been tampered with.

2. Technological barriers.

Features such as encrypted backups, disappearing messages or deleted chats can make it difficult to present a complete and accurate record to the court.

3. Judicial caution.

Nigerian courts are increasingly aware of the risk of digital forgery. Judges now scrutinise digital evidence more carefully and will only rely on it if the strict requirements of the Evidence Act are met. In spite of this, there is still a need for continuous judicial education and updated procedural guidelines.[4]

Conclusion

WhatsApp chats and other forms of digital evidence can play a decisive role in Nigerian matrimonial proceedings. However, they are only admissible if the strict requirements of Section 84 of the Evidence Act 2011 are met. Courts have consistently held, as in the cases of Kubor v Dickson (supra) and Dickson v Sylva (supra), that without proper certification or testimony confirming authenticity, such evidence cannot be relied upon. For parties involved in matrimonial proceedings, this means that WhatsApp messages must be carefully handled and properly presented to avoid being rejected by the court.

the unfortunate fact is that a large number of women HAVE been sexually assaulted. and it is usually by someone they know.

if we are honest with ourselves, there has always been a very very casual attitude towards rape in these parts

there are multiple incidents that i remember from my years in school where there was clearly sexual assault

one time in ife or UI apparently it was the culture that a girl who turned down too many guys would be 'wazzed' to 'teach her a lesson'

you have guys daring a girl to drink, telling her she cant handle beer like them - she takes up the challenge, gets black out drunk and then they take turns sleeping with her. then they go around telling everyone she is a sl-t

i have spoken more than once about a medical student who we all knew as a prolific serial grapist back then. very well spoken, very handsome, very smooth predator. he did not want sex - he wanted the power of forcing himself on a terrified victim. so yes, he would ask girls on dates, they would go to his place with him, and then rather than a jointly consummated affair, he would force himself on them, and then bully and threaten them

one victim basically developed mental issues and had to be taken to a psychiatrist. that was when the whole story came out and he was arrested. the guy got away with it and everyone in his circle believed it was a setup

like most deviants, he could not stop and he got weirder and weirder. he started doing gang grapes with a friend whee they would get the girl to his place , take turns, take pictures, shave the victims public hair. they did this to a girl whose friends dad was a police commissioner. that was how they got busted and arrested and the whole thing blew open. [this time everyone new what was up]. But the guy is a practicing doctor today. this is the side we don't talk about or acknowledge and may be why some women have the same approach to this that the black jury had to the OJ trial. yes we know oj is guilty, but black people have been fked over in court so many times we will let him get away with it

there was a girl i knew in school who grew up in unilag . her dad was DSA at one time. NOTHING can make this girl come to your room. Likely because as a child growing up in unilag, she had seen and heard it all. once you were in the guys room/place, it is no longer he forced himself on me, but, what were you looking for here?

one time these boys in the room next to mine actually tried to set up the gf of one of them. she came to see the guy, and while she was waiting, they jumped on her. the only saving grace is she was a very razz babe who immediately started shouting the house down until guys in the hostel intervened.

consequence free Sexual assault is a very real thing and we should not pretend that it does not exist.

Lol, I remember one time when someone switched I and 1 in Nihilists moniker and attacked Seankafor, only for Seankafor to start attacking the real Nihilist and that one didn't know where the attack originated from.

There's challenges with using social media messages and that extent of technical savvy of the parties involved is a serious one.

Wow.

This is exactly why I can’t take people seriously when they try to frame men as victims every time rape comes up. The number of men who commit rape or sexual assault and face zero consequences massively outweighs the rare cases used to argue otherwise by maybe 10 million to 1. It's even worst in places like Africa where the girl will be shamed if she dare speaks up. We even have people here saying since she invited you over to stay the night that means rape couldn't have occurred. That's how some men actually think and they are excused by other men.

This is why I don't take most of what @Raumdeuter says in defence of Tinubu's administration serious at all. And that's why I keep maintaining that only people who are here with us who live the everyday reality can have my attention to argue what they believe Tinubu has done to make their lives better as a Nigerian who has no APC affiliation nor has access to government/politics money.

My landlord increases house rent almost every year in a bid to catch up with the high cost of living that would pauperize him if he doesn't increase house rent, I buy fuel at x4 of what it was before tinubu got there almost every day, my nepa bill has increased significantly with no improvement in power supply, I even had to buy a solar fan recently to save cost of fueling generator overnight, cost of cooking gas has increased significantly, and someone comes online to tell me to "Relax, Tinubu is Fixing Nigeria".

The same Nigeria lawmakers buy new cars every year. The same Nigeria Tinubu bought escalade owó iyebiye almost immediately he was sworn in, the same Nigeria Tinubu bought a new presidential jet, the same Nigeria tinubu spends billions gallivanting all over the globe, the same Nigeria Tinubu spends billions on his Healthcare abroad.

Issokay!

It's easy for someone not living the reality to say these things. But I Wan see person wey dey live the reality with us explain the rationale behind why I need relax. I Wan see person wey dey here with us wey dey go through wetin dey happen with us to tell me I'm wailing and writing epistles that do not reflect the current reality of things.
