80% Of Election Violence Victims In 2023 Came From Two Zones by blamingthedevil(op): 11:15am On Feb 21
80% OF ELECTION VIOLENCE VICTIMS IN 2023 CAME FROM JUST TWO ZONES

Victims of election violence:
North West — 164 victims
South East — 152
South West — 45
South South — 25
North Central — 12
North East — 3

Total victims — 401

In 2023, two regions alone accounted for nearly 80% of all election violence victims in Nigeria.

Taking out these two regions would see Nigeria's total election violence victims drop massively from 401 to just 85.

This underscores that election violence was not evenly distributed across the country, but heavily localized in just two geopolitical zones.

Those zones are the most undemocratic. More reasons no one dares oppose agulu messiah in one of the zones.

North west and south east. Opposite of west is east and opposite of north is south. It's not unexpected. The way some of these people are shouting on nairaland against the south west was so alarming that you will even think their region is rancour free. An

You see the ridiculous result of the 2023 presidential election in the SE and you think the violence level there wouldn't be high? The level of rigging in SE in 2023 is nothing that has ever been witnessed in the history of election in Nigeria

The author of this news needs a psychiatrist. With all the molestations of voters in the southwest especially Lagos and in the Southsouth especially Rivers state, they decided to mention Southeast.
I'm not surprised with the statistics above. No be Nigeria we dey.

In South East, people were prevented from polling booths, having known that they were not Obi's supporters. Those who refused to be intimidated were attacked. Ask yourself, how was it possible for a candidate from a particular region to have 98% of the total votes from his region?

So you mean only when people are killed that you can mention violence? Is that the definition of violence in your family dictionary?

I.saw only one attack in enugu and it was very condemnable. If you have any other attacks, please share links

Now u guess you can do good to convince yourself that people carrying gongs, going street by street to threaten voters, blocking voters from accessing the polling units only affected 45 persons.

As I said before am not here to convince you to stop lying to yourself

I don't know why the South East is impeding the development of the southern Nigeria.

Nothing good seems to be happening there except bad news most of the time.

But we keep hearing news of head hunting in Oyo, Osun, Ogun, Ekiti on daily basis. Kwara has been destroyed by terrorists and kidnappers. Mpama.

South East always compete with the North interms of insecurity.

Always comparing ipob to Boko haram and justifying why ipob is better than the Boko haram.

A once peaceful region is now in tatters.

Very shameful.
