No, thats not the conclusion the writer ended his experience with.
Men of God at best are men first. With same foibles and inadequacies we all experience. Besides how many people could/ would they be able to assist who make such requests daily, it's impossible humanly.
I too had a similar experience with a big man of God whom we were classmates in school but I tried not to blame him. They are humans with human limitations. They are not a special class of people. God chose to work through them, that's all. Some don't even have pleasant personalities but the most high in His wisdom chose to use them.

Your pastor can't help you in the times of need,but would rather refer you to pray to God who's busy minding his business in heaven to send help to you on earth. But when the same thief disguising as pastor needs help,he falls back to you who are his members, billing you to stupor

He even tried by continuing to go to church. Cuz in my own case,that was my instant full stop and why I will never go to church.

Did she pay her tithe directly to David Oyedepo? Who knows if she's even a tither. No body will crucify her if is not paying. At least let her start from her local church. They encourage their members to join home cell.

You attended the church for just almost 3 years and demanding financial help based on period you've been with the church, what about pastors's children that's have been there for more than 20 years. Pastos can not help everybody approaching them for helps. Now that you are nurse and earning money how many people have you have helped financially, how many school fees have you paid for the less privileges.

Many of una just like to dey yarn dust, that same guy will have a rich uncle who also refused to help him ooo, but he chooses to accuse the Pastor cos na easy target

The fact is as humans, in as much as we want to help a lot of people, we can't help everyone

Sometimes sef I go dey my room dey cry say I suppose don dey help many people sef but me sef need help

Bottom line put your trust in God, Worship him and leave your pastor alone with his own wahala

mr man, You need to understand Some of these Pastor have Profession/career

Pastors like Adeboye, oyedepo, olukoya .. Have good professions without church they will still Be richer than men like you

One book Dr. Olukoya wrote alone can feed him his family for life without church offering & tithe sef.

The man, identified on social media platform X as @Nrs_Danie, narrated that he had struggled for years to secure admission into the Lagos State School of Nursing, succeeding only after his fourth attempt. However, his joy was short-lived as he lacked the ₦230,000 required to pay tuition, with school authorities giving him just one month before forfeiting the admission. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

According to his account, he and his mother, who lived in Abule Egba area of Lagos, left home as early as 5 a.m. to travel to Sango Ota, Ogun State, where the church headquarters is located, hoping to seek financial assistance from the cleric.

He explained that they had been active members of the church for about three years, participating in services, prayers, and fasting programmes, which strengthened their belief that they might receive support.

They reportedly positioned themselves along the route where the bishop would pass before his morning service, waiting for an opportunity to speak with him.

When the cleric eventually arrived, the man said he and his mother rushed forward to plead for help but were stopped by security personnel.

He claimed that the bishop responded by advising them to apply for a bursary from the Lagos State Government instead.

The response, he said, left him devastated, considering the emotional and physical effort it took to gain admission after several attempts.

The nurse admitted that the incident affected him deeply and almost caused him to question his faith in God. However, he later came to the realization that religious leaders are human and that faith should be centered on God rather than individuals.

He emphasized that leaving church because of a pastor’s action would mean one’s faith was misplaced.

Despite the disappointment, he eventually completed his nursing education without financial assistance from the cleric and now works abroad as a nurse.

Reflecting on his journey, he said the experience strengthened his belief that personal faith and determination are more important than reliance on any religious figure.

As a pastor , you get all that money which you earn from occasional contributions of your congregations termed as offering and tithe but cannot give a common 230k.

Something he would earn back with just one service or one power packed delusional program..

So he should have attended the church for a thousand years first before he could ask for financial assistance from the scammer abi? But it didn't take the same thief time to start billing him in form of tithes and offerings.

Sometimes I begin to wonder if the brain of an average Nigerian Christian has been tampered with,and you guys keep proving me right on a daily basis

I knew someone who had same encounter with him at raji oba church.

The most painfully was, the man actually made it part of the sermon that evening.

Insisting no elders should render help to anyone.

Religion is the opium of the poor.

Church is their business enterprise.
