This is why ur loyalty must be to God alone and not any man In church who calls himself pastor.

The pastor is basically a fellow brother in christ helping others like him be better I their walk with God.

I don't believe in daddy or mummy g.o. or senior pastor. I have same respect for them like a have for other people in church.

Also the church system as it run in modern Christianity is flawed and unable to cater for the body of Christ or fellow believers. It only caters for the pastor and whoever the pastor personally favours.

Why would you enroll for a programme that you cannot afford? Good to know the nurse is abroad and earning well. He should start helping anyone in need pay school fees. Let him show that he is better than the pastor.

Just one question for you , if the boy was present during the days of Peter James and John and the church had grown such that they didn't handle the affairs of the church physically but this nurse happened to chance Peter on the streets or gathering and cried for help what do you think Peter would have done ?

1. Help him
2. Refer him to the deacons
3. Refer him to the roman government or sanhedrin

Your answer would let me know if you actually understand anything about jesus and his standard of measurements.

By the way remember in his story oyedepo told him to go to lagos bursary not even to any church welfare department.
I'm not answering your question because it is rhetorical, not because I don';t want to...

You attended the church for just almost 3 years and demanding financial help based on period you've been with the church, what about pastors's children that's have been there for more than 20 years. Pastos can not help everybody approaching them for helps. Now that you are nurse and earning money how many people have you have helped financially, how many school fees have you paid for the less privileges.

shame! Shame!! Shame!!!

It would be easier for Satan to make it to heaven, than for the author of this crap up here to make it to heaven.

I help people I have never met before, the gift of God is not by how many years you have prayed. A new believer today, is entitled to God's grace añd blessings.

More of why I don't need God because the man who has God "Oyedepo" has the money but couldn't help him. I who don't have God do not have the money, that's why I couldn't help him. To have money doesn't require having God anyway. God is just 'useless' here.

alphonsojidebab:
A Nigerian nurse has recounted an emotional experience from 2016 involving renowned cleric David Oyedepo, founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, revealing how the encounter nearly shook his faith and commitment to church attendance.

The man, identified on social media platform X as @Nrs_Danie, narrated that he had struggled for years to secure admission into the Lagos State School of Nursing, succeeding only after his fourth attempt. However, his joy was short-lived as he lacked the ₦230,000 required to pay tuition, with school authorities giving him just one month before forfeiting the admission. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

According to his account, he and his mother, who lived in Abule Egba area of Lagos, left home as early as 5 a.m. to travel to Sango Ota, Ogun State, where the church headquarters is located, hoping to seek financial assistance from the cleric.

He explained that they had been active members of the church for about three years, participating in services, prayers, and fasting programmes, which strengthened their belief that they might receive support.

They reportedly positioned themselves along the route where the bishop would pass before his morning service, waiting for an opportunity to speak with him.

When the cleric eventually arrived, the man said he and his mother rushed forward to plead for help but were stopped by security personnel.

He claimed that the bishop responded by advising them to apply for a bursary from the Lagos State Government instead.

The response, he said, left him devastated, considering the emotional and physical effort it took to gain admission after several attempts.

The nurse admitted that the incident affected him deeply and almost caused him to question his faith in God. However, he later came to the realization that religious leaders are human and that faith should be centered on God rather than individuals.

He emphasized that leaving church because of a pastor’s action would mean one’s faith was misplaced.

Despite the disappointment, he eventually completed his nursing education without financial assistance from the cleric and now works abroad as a nurse.

Reflecting on his journey, he said the experience strengthened his belief that personal faith and determination are more important than reliance on any religious figure.

It doesn't matter whether he attends Oyedepo's church or not.

Charity is best done without cameras. That was an opportunity for Oyedepo to do so but of course he's more interested in his personal comfort..... while telling you that your mansion is in heaven.

Why not sponsor this one too? It's not even about the sponsorship, it's about how they were disregarded and dismissed. Abegi stop defending what's not.

Religion is part of our problems in Naija. The law needs to end religion, practice of any religion should be illegal. Only charity and philanthropy should the recognized by the state.
Please remember this words. It is the height of foolishness to judge a matter before hearing both side. You have made conclusions on hearing the poster alone. I only spoke on what i know about the church (verifiable information) and the typical attitude of people as regarding such matters. i didn't question the poster cos i cant verify their claims. Please get off your attitude of being gullible to all you read online.

Your talk of charity and philanthropy is quite funny. The same church or religion as you put it, is the single and most effective form of charity in this world. This same church you are busy bad mouthing, you actually don't know much about their charity works. Standing on the street is the patterns too many people use and no one really responds positively to that except on rare occasions. anyways you will always be entitled to your own opinion

therefore this your comparism is not fair.

According to you, Oyedepo said you should apply for Lagos state bursary. Yes! He gave the right response.
He was only guiding you in the right way. When you are having a challenge with paying fees, applying for scholarships and bursary is the right thing. Not running after individuals to request for funds.

If it were some other expenses, the Oyedepo could have helped you. Help comes only from God and not man. Just because your help didn't come from Oyedepo doesn't mean it's the end of the world.

God will always make a way bruh.
If you had gotten that 200k from Oyedepo, you might not have had the zeal to leave the shores of Nigeria and get bigger.
Life goes on

......my brother the thing weak me, no empathy here, Nigerians and their entitlement mentality, because you attended his church for three years so therefore he should sponsor you, why didn't you face the mother that gave birth to you ? Isn't it her responsibility to pay your school fees, and that aside anyway, before applying as a nursing student you obviously knew the fees the school will be charging therefore you should have prepared yourself for the fees.
..

....I have to side with Daddy GO here even though I have never paid tithes in my life. Firstly the Church does not force anyone to pay tithes and offering, and if you do willingly pay, do not expect anything back in return aside from God's blessings.

Why didn’t the same church tell the new comers to wait for more than 3years before they start giving tithe and offerings?
tithes and offering is not an investment or insurance scheme.

If you want to serve God, Serve God because you love him not because of any church or pastor

Now the nurse have graduated, I didn't see where he attributed his success to God, rather he is more interested in announcing the perceived disservice done to him.

Moreover, how will the pastor know in split seconds, the sincerity in the request and if you are his member? Do you know how many such requests come in on daily basis. Moreover most of those churches have systems put in place to address welfare issues. He was supposed to start with the cell system, then chapter pastor and co. That it's the church doesn't mean money should be dished out anyhow
....my brother the thing weak me, we all know in Nigeria a Church is not a charitable organization.
