Fkforyou:Check the games we dropped points and the next game of the opponent and see one pattern this season-They do us strong thing and go on to their next game and play rubbish and get D or L. This has happened 12 times this season already. Na we no wan learn ni. No be opponent. Unless we indirectly saying the opponent better pass all in all such instances. |

iamoyindamola:but it is the same setup that they said would be more effective with a natural striker. |

daveP:Dave, I genuinely wanna ask you what you think of Gyokeres this season. Give me a real time rating of what you think of him out of 10 |

It is either Arteta gets an additional backroom staff in the attacking department or start reading some of these articles and analyses online. Billy Carpenter should be coaching a team, not sitting behind a lappy and drafting contents. I no dey ever miss his pieces. The latest one he wrote will do Arteta some good if the gaffer can just go through it. |

iamoyindamola:well, he's the coach and knows what he should do to save his job, after all it is his job. But again, why was the cry for a striker so loud if his system wasn't questioned for lack of it? |

germaphobe:And now that he has it, is he utilising it or still playing to the wings strength |

iamoyindamola:the same wing play and crosses that made people cry for a traditional striker is now being questioned. How many times have Gyokeres misplaced passes, not controll ball well, lose simple challenges. We can continue to blame arteta all we want but Gyokeres needs to up his game. There are more games where he had no single shot than games where he have scored. Ask yourself why even merino as a striker gets a lot of touches and shots in opposition box than Gyokeres. |

germaphobe:So continue blaming the players while the manager continue bottling trophies. Kai is back, let him continue from where Merino stop |

germaphobe:I remember when some media ran the Arteta and Sesko vs Berta and Gyokeres propanganda, some fans were calling Arteta a dictator who wanted to force his favorite player on us. Guess what, we got Gyokeres and now it's hurting us in two ways. He is not delivering as expected and our wingers are dropping stinkers. Basically, the attack has crashed. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by iamoyindamola(m): 10:17am On Feb 22 |
Someone would have thought seskô is the top scorer in epl or in Scummies United |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by germaphobe(m): 10:52am On Feb 22 |
iamoyindamola:i blame the manager when I think it is his fault and blame the players when I think is it their fault you can choose the praise the players all you want and blame only the manager for bottling trophy as if it is the manager that tells the players not to give their all, or to loose duels, or not to be clinical, or not to block potential dangers before it becomes a danger. All of us knows what we are doing and no one can convince you to like the manager bro. The season Ramsdale cost us the league, it was the manager that was blamed, when he choose to get a new keeper, he was also blamed for sidelining the same person that made him lose the trophy. Raya acting like an amateur twice against wolves, Gyokeres miss placing all his balls and not winning duels, not positioning well, but na manager we go blame. We know what we're doing. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by germaphobe(m): 11:02am On Feb 22 |
iamoyindamola:bro between Gyokeres and Sesko who have been better this season. Aside from goals which Sesko is two below Gyokeres, he(Sesko) is better in every other department, with less minutes played. More shots on taken, more shots on target, more touches in games, more shooting accuracy more assist. We're a much better team than utd and yet our striker who was signed "because we need someone to help us win the league and not someone to grow with us" isn't exactly far off better than the same person half the fan base criticised the coach for initially going for. To be honest ehh, I always laugh and find it funny when I see you guys defending Gyokeres for the same thing you criticised Havertz for. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by iamoyindamola(m): 11:09am On Feb 22 |
germaphobe:We are with Raya now and the problem persists right? If ramsdale cost us the league what is Raya currently doing and I should blame Raya for what? Did I put him in the team? If the manager can't take responsibility for his tactics and players he should resign abeg |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by germaphobe(m): 11:10am On Feb 22 |
mostob:when they criticise Arteta and you try to point out that it isn't solely dependant on Arteta alone, they will call you Arteta fan and your lord and saviour. I guess Gyokeres is also lord to some too. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by iamoyindamola(m): 11:12am On Feb 22 |
germaphobe:What did gyokeres do, how many chances as he missed? How many chances were created for him? The stats are there and also compare him with sesko Moreover sesko rejected Arteta because he's weak, he can only survive in scummies united |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by iamoyindamola(m): 11:15am On Feb 22 |
The gas lighting have start We are know he will bottle the league again so the players are the scapegoat A manager with no plan b or alternative We will all be here |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by germaphobe(m): 11:16am On Feb 22 |
iamoyindamola:fif he plays Kepa ahead of Raya you lots will also complain how he is leaving the best legs on the bench, now the best legs go commit blunder and automatically the blame is on the coach. Nice one. Shebi na tactics makes Gyokeres not to man up when he gets the ball or always drag it out of position?, shebi na tactics makes Trossard not to release ball on time and always try to dribble, shebi na tactics makes our players to delay shooting when necessary, shebi na tactics caused Raya to make double blunders, shebi na tactics dey make Saliba dey gba sometimes. Well I guess it is actually tactics indeed |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by germaphobe(m): 11:20am On Feb 22 |
iamoyindamola:Gas lighting?. ![]() It would please you to know that I have joined your band of Arteta out, but untill he leaves the club, I will call a spade a spade, put blame where it is deserved and not blindly criticise out of my dislike for him. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by germaphobe(m): 11:23am On Feb 22 |
iamoyindamola:Gyokeres hasn't done anything special for me and nothing significant better than what we had. How many chances has he missed?, i should be asking you to provide the stats not the other way round. The fact is that Sesko in a much weaker team and with his weak mentality is doing more than Gyokeres with less game time. Period. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by iamoyindamola(m): 11:26am On Feb 22 |
germaphobe:7 years and we are still finding excuses for the serial failure, how does it sound to you guys sef We had the chance to have gone 12 points and reduce the fear of comeback from any club but we are back again hoping and praying history don't repeat itself but we will rather find one or two players to scapegoat. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by germaphobe(m): 11:34am On Feb 22 |
iamoyindamola:you want to blame the coach alone, i want to share the blame exactly how it is due, don't call that gas lighting bro. Against Nottingham forest, tell me how and where Arteta got wrong. Lets start with that one. Yes, 6 year and going to 7 without a significant trophy, of course that is bad in itself, who says it isn't?. But you being blinded by his past failures and not to see how the fault isn't only his this season is a problem. Every single active coach that you have ever mentioned their name when talking about upgrading Arteta has surely underperformed than him recently, which means that if you have that power to make a change, personally you would have gotten it wrong a couple of times. Points dropped against Sunderland, wolves, Nottingham forest, Aston villa for me are basically on the players and their inability to..... |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by iamoyindamola(m): 11:47am On Feb 22 |
germaphobe:I didn't say gyokeres did something special o but he's hasn't done bad either But we all agreed before the season start that Arteta doesn't have excuse why are we now going after players instead of him. I remember vividly before we got gyokeres and Eze we all said the squad is good enough |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by germaphobe(m): 12:09pm On Feb 22 |
iamoyindamola:yes the squad is good on paper but both you and I have seen how it is on match days. Oya can you start Eze today if you're the coach. Many chances he has gotten in epl for so long now have been wasteful but same approach and system in cup games he will turn up, where do you think the problem is?. Because we said Arteta doesn't have an excuse because of the squad doesn't deny the fact that injuries have affected the system and the backup plus even the main players de fucvk up on a steady. Rice always complaining and shouting to his team mates is clear enough to tell us that the standards set by the coach and themselves is too high to be this mediocre. We can blame the coach yes, but we shouldn't turn a blind eye to what they players are doing. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by iamoyindamola(m): 12:18pm On Feb 22 |
germaphobe:No Eze isn't bad Every player have strength and weakness We have a coach that believe in defence first before attack, our attacking players leaves their primary duty and focus more on defence That's why our goals have dried out because combining the 2 is task full for some players. Eze excel in free spaces, one touch play and risk passes. Can Arteta give him that? No, same issues with Saka, Odegaard and maybe Martinelli these guys can score handful but their goals dried out since last season. Will you say they are bad players? There are matches these guys score and still get criticised by Arteta coaching team because they left their defensive positions I believe attack and defence should be balanced in a team not 75% defence and 25% attack |

germaphobe:Remind me how many games we won consecutively when Merino was leading the line for us please. Immediately Brock Lesnar came back from injury, everything changed. I wouldn't fault a coach for trying to integrate his striker on time for his long term goal. I would blame him for not reverting back to the basic when it's clear the striker is more interested in boxing than actually playing football. |

germaphobe:They did more than this when Havertz newly came. Spy dey try sha. That guy stuck to his opinion. Now, they're silently praying Havertz comes back on time despite the fact that their favourite is fit as fiddle. The trophyless years really did something terrible to the mind of some fans. Can the guys just win this one for their sake abeg |

O Reilly played as a false 9...if asenal don't win d league this season then they should forget abt football for now cuz pep has been poor but how he manages to remain in touch of arsenal beats my imagination. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by germaphobe(m): 1:02pm On Feb 22 |
iamoyindamola:Arteta priorities defence over attack, yes. Has it been working out, yes. Even though we can question the goals scored but we haven't been so bad up front either. Against Liverpool, we were supposed to win that game in the first half with the amount of chances we generated but our forwards were no where to be found. Eze for one can never have that kind of space as when he was at palace, and his inability to track back is so clear even a team like wolves would feel it. He's not bad, but so far he is not doing the basics requires to play for Arsenal under Arteta. Don't get me wrong, I know Arteta does fucck up, but if we can be honest with ourselves, they players are also part of the whole problem. |
