The Dangote Group says Aliko Dangote, its chief executive officer (CEO), hosted Bayo Ojulari, group chief executive officer (GCEO) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited, at the Dangote refinery.

In a post on X, the Dangote Group shared pictures of Ojulari inspecting the refinery in the company of Dangote and other executives on Wednesday.

“HAPPENING NOW: President/Chief Executive, Dangote Industries Limited, Aliko Dangote, hosts NNPC Group CEO, Bayo Ojulari, and top executives at the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals, Saturday, 21 February 2026,” the post reads.

The development comes weeks after Dangote Industries Limited (DIL) signed gas supply agreements with NNPC for three of its subsidiaries.

In November 2025, Ojulari said the NNPC was working towards increasing its stake in Dangote refinery from 7.2 percent to 20 percent

It's better for them to swallow their pride and ask Alhaji how he was able to set up the plant.

Ignorance is not bliss o.

NNPC is part owner of Dangote Refinery and it is to avoid conflict of interest that it makes sense to let all refineries be private sector-led.

We are not persuaded that NNPC will be able to completely insulate itself from political patronage. That is why they should run as a private organization first before building refineries.

This it the kind of collaboration that I want to see,

Whether by hook or crook, we should refine our oil for local consumption and export in Nigeria

Yes, it is!
I like the proposed increase of Federal Government's stake from 7.2% to 20%.
I eagerly look forward as well to the proposed public offers. It will be a very good investment opportunity for middle-class Nigerians.

Please don't give this people more than 10%. Let Nigerian people control this entity. Petroleum is our commonwealth. Letting NNPC have 20% is giving power back to the people that have tormented us for decades.

Coming from a known BMC insider like you. I get the message. NNPCL Refineries should be privatized to APC cronies ASAP and the 7% stake NNPCL has in DPR is the justification. Ride on. Later they will attack Atiku.

You are ignorant yet uncouth and hostile to knowledge. All you do is insult others.

For such multi billion dollars companies, even 0.1% ownership is significant. Under corporate law, 5% ownership is usually regarded as significant ownership. I am sure that you are confusing majority ownership with significant ownership because you are ignorant and do not understand this corporate rule.

7% ownership is above 5% and considered as significant under cooperate law.

After educating you on this subject, I will now report you to the mods.

oga shut up, I wasn't talking about the value of the stake, 7 out of 100 is still small, no matter the value u put on the 7%, it's basic math, infact nnpc is what we call a minority shareholder ...u said I'm a poor man... I didn't insult u.... I jst said I'm richer than you, and your generations combined both past, present and future
