Nairaland didn't state whether it was Muslim or Christians this time around and thats only because they're Muslims.... This is one of the major reasons why the problem hasn't been solved yet.

They cannot do anything about it because they are helpless. The government that is supposed to protect them has failed them.
Lmao, government protect them? Charity begins at home, the Elites should talk to their people to stop the sens€l£ss killings unless those boys are doing their bidding.

The elites should have been the one at the forefront championing an end to ‘em boy’s carnage.

That's the primary responsibility of every serious government

Now that the USA military is stepping into the fray of Nigeria's war on terror, rest assured good news is on the way VERY soon.
In other words if USA didn't step in, we'll be at the mercy of the terrorisers and the government of BAT would be inept.
Stop defending the indefensible.
Our leaders (past and cureent) haven't been sincere on the issue of security, else terrorism would have been excised long ago.
It's more worrying and painful considering the humongous amounts budgeted yearly for defence.

its on record dat in 2014 nigerian soldier where running from battle
police headquaters in abuja was taken out
UN office attacked
abuja 'nyanya' car park was blown up
90% of all churches in borno destroye
, chibok girls disaster nd d fact dat dey never recovered any student etc
Common sense would've told you Boko Haram carried out those attacks to make themselves talked-about. What makes you think they can no longer carry out a suicide bombing in Abuja or elsewhere if they want to? Has your useless government done anything to prevent such occurence? Boko Haram has achieved their first aim which was to call everyone to their activities, and now they've moved to the second phase which is seizing territories around the country. Stay there and keep fooling yourself

Nigeria is at war against terrorist forces that are well financed and highly motivated to impose by force of arms on ALL nations of West Africa, a violent and extremist version of Islamist caliphate dictatorship. The growing US military presence in Nigeria is testimony to the sincerity of purpose Nigeria's current administration has brought to bear in this war on terror.

Regardless of which of Nigeria's political parties happens to be in power, terrorist strikes employing hit-and-run guerilla tactics CANNOT be eliminated entirely, REGARDLESS of security precautions taken. The free movement of civilians along any nation's highways cannot be prohibited in the name of preventing terrorist attacks, while it would be numerically impossible to garrison battle-ready federal troops tasked with protecting ALL towns and villages of the land.

The current Nigerian president is attuned to the urgency of the task at hand, and is responding with the alacrity that the security threat to Nigeria necessitates, by welcoming military assistance from the USA and wisely NOT from Russia, China, or Turkey, for reasons too many to list here.
You and all this your unnecessary grammar just to justify the inept APC government and leadership.
How can these terrorísts kidnap over 100 people and the government can't spot them for weeks? Is t this government you love to defend complicit?

Doesn’t stop the elites from talking to their people too if the government help is not helping.

Regardless of the government in power in ANY democratically governed country such as Nigeria, the opposition parties practice a noise-making tradition of blaming the ruling party and national leader for ALL outbreaks of violence, calamities, or economic downturns.

This reflex, knee-jerk reaction of blaming the current Nigerian leadership every time terrorists attack in Nigeria, is in keeping with that tradition of blaming the government in power in a bid to influence the outcome of future elections.
