JAMIL Mabai, Katsina State blogger who was arrested allegedly on the orders of Katsina State Governor, Aminu Masari, has been remanded in prison custody.

Mubai was remamded in prison for inciting public disturbance and causing disaffection to government by a Katsina Magistrate Court.

Social Times had reported on Wednesday that the blogger was arrested for criticising the decision of the governor to purchase 3000 coffins and distributing them to mosques in the State.

The blogger had frowned at the rationale behind such venture when salaries of civil servants in the state are yet to be paid.

The prosecuting police officer Isa Liti told the court that Mabai actions are contrary to section 416 of the penal code.

He applied for time to enable him prepare his prosecution properly.

Defending his client, lawyer to the accused, Sada Abdullahi, argued that his client was not properly arraigned and as such, sought for the relief of his client.

In his rulling, the presiding Judge Abdul El-Ladan adjourned the matter to Monday 26th September for continuation.

Governor Masari got this wrong... He goofed... This is a misplaced priority meant to siphon public funds... The same man swindled PMB to get bailout funds when he never needed it... He might become an albatross for the president if care isn't taken.

Coffins!! Africans especially the Hausas are way behind on the evolutionary ladder. Their brains are just above that of animals. Perhaps in five hundred thousand years they'll reach the level of today's Homo sapiens. Right now they are just slightly above chimpanzees.

Change is here, enjoy it while it lasts but always remember we predicted these. I told you during the election campaign that all the evil people in PDP were the one that left for APC because they couldn't cope with GEJ style of governance. Guess what? We have just started ...

These northern leaders have always rules with anarchy and impunity

Imagine arresting a man, remanding him in prsion for days only to come to the court to ask the judge to give you time to prosecute him properly?

So he just confirmed the man was locked up for no just offended

Nigeria is indeed a zoo

Buying coffins in this period of economic recession? For what intent? Is that the most priority at present? See the nasty reason for arresting & detaining the guy.Nigeria is sick with fools in government.Guess all the "Sai Baba,Sai Buhari" zombies can see the effects of their stupidity? More is still to come.
