Viktor Gyokeres has scored more goals in 2026 across all competitions than any other Premier League player, with eight of his 15 total goals for the Gunners coming this calendar year Only Robert Pires (seven in 11 appearances) and Emmanuel Adebayor (six in seven) have scored more Premier League goals for Arsenal in North London derbies than Eberechi Eze (five in two) - BBC Sport |

Raya na werey! Him go do blunder wey go make you want kill him, but you can’t because you know he is good normally. To further frustrate you, him go do another World class save the next match totally erasing whatever anger you had for him initially. Baba sabi gaslight people well well. 🤣😂 |

Fkforyou:Ramsdale was like that at some point too. But MA vex gaaan. Got so bad the guy went to goof mode permanently. Lol. Raya needs to work on not allowing that Wolves Bueno moment to repeat itself. It was annoying. |

In the post match interview of Arteta and Gyokeres, you would see exactly what the problem has been all along. Eze once complained that the tactical aspect of the game is usually overwhelming and Arteta also said then that his lessons learnt was perhaps on the tactical part too. Yesterday Gyokeres said he is finally understanding his team mates. Which is evident with the runs he made yesterday and the positions he got into yesterday. Arteta admitted to finally being able to figure out how to use Eze. I believe he should have also figured out how to use the others too. Our wingers made more inward runs as opposed to always running on the wings. At some point Saka was in the middle while Trossard drifted to the right. Hincapie gave Trossard the chance to play inwards and influence the game more by overlapping properly. Mosquera, hmm. Solid performance. Very solid. After that Rice mistake, he played so much like his life depended on avoiding any mistake. 💪 Raya proved to have forgotten and let behind him the mistake of last week. That same commitment and energy towards the remaining 10 epl finals and we are sure of celebrating like the did at spursy, but this time with a real trophy. |

germaphobe:Didn't we say it Just yesterday I was telling you how Eze wasn't bad and gyokeres was starved. The funny thing is the guy una they defend they open up sometimes and admit his flaws. When we criticised him we already see the flaws which he's supposed to correct them but his defensive mindset wouldn't. I am sure if we had drawn the match, una go scapegoat rice |

germaphobe:It was evident all along that Eze gets overwhelmed with the tactical demands of playing in this current Arsenal team. This Arsenal team is not some small Crystal palace where he is allowed to play free role, give the bearest minimum when it comes to tracking back his man and lose ball in critical part of the pitch without any serious consequence. In this current Arsenal team as much as you have your primary role to play either as an attacker, playmaker, central midfielder or defender; you still have to be tactically aware and cover up not just for your own flaws but for other teammates' when the going gets tough. He really needs to work on his stamina and play with his head 100% in the game. He needs all the self awareness he can get when playing that playmaking role else he will find it difficult to bench Odegaard anytime he is fit. As regards Gyokeres, I am not surprised he mentioned that he's beginning to understand his team mates better. We all saw the flaw in his positioning and runs which made passes difficult to get to him. And when the passes get to him, the pressure of trying to prove naysayers wrong has been really making him nervous leading to low output for him. If he continues to make the kind of runs he mad yesterday particularly the one for the second goal which was from Odegaard's one touch pass, I don't see any reason why he shouldn't shine bright in the later part of the season. When he makes runs like that , it makes it very easy for his fellow players to pick him out with the right weighted pass. His first touch for that his first goal is also an improvement from the heavy first touch he's had for most part of the season . |

iamoyindamola:bro, I think you get me wrong sometimes. I didn't say Gyokeres is bad, you can dig up to say my post about him. I was just about his positioning and lack of getting into space at the right time. Yes Eze and Arteta finally found a way to make it click, thank God for that. But you know my only worry was about his epl performance, of which he surprised me yesterday again, and I give him that. |

germaphobe:That is why i said there are some players that struggle defensively and that affect their game Ozil is the best any day but his defensive input is very poor, arteta need to come to terms there are some players you exempt partially from defense especially attackers. Eze second goal was made by him after intercepting his opponent. |

The one touches and tiny passes between Gyok and Eze inside or near the box yesterday is something Ozil would so love. Just watched a compilation and between these two, it happened 7 times, opening up big chances, freezing defenders and opening space for an unmarked teammate(trossard and Saka, they didn't capitalize though) The one touch 1_2 was sleek. Someone mockef that thats the most progressive non Saka pass Odegaard made all season. Chai. Odegaard attacking instincts is in coma state. If he wakes up one day, even Eze creativity no fit near am. But for now, this sync between Eze and Gyok, i pray Arteta doesn't interrupt it sha. I pray.

iamoyindamola:If no be say person experience am, people don forget say Ramsdale unbelievable saves vs Top 6 clubs even stunned rival fans that year. Sadly he fell off. I'd dare say one big difference between Rams and Raya after conceded a hilarious goal is their facial expressions 😂😂😂😂 Raya hides it better than Rams. |
