So now the argument has evolved, it’s no longer that Tinubu rigged the election results. Apparently, his crime this time is masterminding a grand, invisible lockdown that prevented all the devoted voters of the ADC from stepping outside. It’s okay… we’re getting somewhere. ![]() |

PDP won an area council. Your ADC couldn’t win a single councilorship seat. Buddy, you should hide your face in shame instead of blaming Tinubu. |

Lot of those helping Tinubu to grip power today would be the first victims of his power consolidation drive If he manages to win second term All the power brokers in Lagos before 1999 All were relegated |

Atiku, you re an old cargo. Give way, rest and wait for your death. Atiku you can't eat your cake and have it. Atiku na you make PO to lose last presidential election due to your greediness. Na you make Wike aligned with BAT thus forming formidable force that forced every state gov to become APC. Atiku you re destroyer of Nigeria democracy. Indirect Suppressor of opposition party due to your greediness and inordinate quest to win presidency at all cost |

I agree with atiku 💯... But added to that is that opposition is shrinking. The opposition hasn't done a good job so far I think part of the reason is that most of the opposition is old and and tired. No new or fresh ideas. Opposition in Nigeria right now needs a breath of fresh air and renewed ginger... I don't believe the present one is capable of doing that. It's really looking like tibunu would have a field day at the next elections. The future looks very bleak for Nigeria... democracy is been seized by its balls! |

What has been the average voters turnout in elections in nigeria especially for local government elections? Those who find ways to criticize everything in sight and refuse to accept fair defeat are also a danger to democracy |

As expected, the chief executive officer of the lossing side is leading his team in wailing as expected. Democracy is only safe, if they are declared the winner but in danger whenever they loss. Daddy Atiku cry me a river Explanation go finish for your mouth sir |

Did Tinubu ask ADC to field a non-indigene in AMAC? Did Tinubu ask ADC not to campaign in other councils? Did Tinubu ask ADC not to have field agents in all polling units in AMAC? Did Tinubu cause only ten voters to come out and vote in ADC's candidate's polling unit? Wike goes all the way with Aduda and AMAC councillors to commission projects. Wike made these people visible. Wike was already campaigning for them before AMAC elections. Then someone priced groundnut and climbed planks at the last moment, and expected magic. Things don't work that way please. I agree with Atiku though. Tinubu's hold on our democracy is suffocating. Everywhere you go in Nigeria, Tinubu's signature projects are ongoing. The Lagos-Calabar coastal highway which Atiku, Obi and Arise News opposed is ongoing. The lies against the tax bills failed to materialize as our people are getting more money. Student loans are ongoing. Our airports are being modernized. Food prices are falling. Naira is giving dollar a bloody nose. Revenue inflows to the federation account are being boosted as Tinubu signed an executive order to strip NNPC of opaque revenue collecting powers. Wike is performing. Tunji Ojo is performing. Festus Keyamo is performing. If Atiku and Obi had performed during their time, there'd be no Tinubu. Tinubu is implementing big decisions the likes of Atiku failed to implement when they had the chance. Those opposed to him have run out of ideas and are inventing things like he is a dictator. If Tinubu is a dictator, who stopped them from dictating functional ideas to help them win elections? Tinubu, solve the security problem and let Nigeria make money from mining and these people would be permanently retired to singing songs of lamentations on twitter. Finally, from the look of things, ADC is not prepared to wrestle Tinubu in 2027. They lack the capacity for a competitive election. Never in the history of Nigeria has any political party complained of planned rigging due to impending defeat as ADC has done. It is quite disturbing that PDP, LP and SDP are all behaving responsibly and accepted their loss. Meanwhile, Obidients are blaming Atiku for the poor showing of the Obidient candidate chosen by the Obidients. |

Democracy is not under siege anywhere. Did you do your home work properly? Only 15% of total registered voters came out Of that 15% how many of them were your supporters? If this is how you want to do in 2027, don't waste your money, energy and time Because if you can't mobilize for a small election like this, how are you going to cope with national elections? Use four years and learn the rudiments of opposition politics and come back in 2031. BUNCH OF UNSERIOUS PEOPLE |

galantjoe:Why are you twisting facts about Wike's destructive role in our democracy due to his overwise greediness ![]() While you are entitled to your opinion, you are not entitled to twisting facts. anonimi:@@@@@@@ @@@@@@@@@@@@ 2023: PDP and politics of healing Wike’s self-inflicted injury Then, the race began in earnest for three years now, reaching a frenzy with the works of the two PDP committees on zoning. The first was the Gov Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi committee on the zoning of the PDP party offices. The Ugwuanyi committee quickly told the world the committee’s assignment did not cover zoning the office of the president. Though this was true, the question is: why didn’t the Ugwuanyi committee zone the PDP chairmanship to the North without aligning it to the divide that would produce the PDP presidential flag-bearer? The second committee headed by Gov Samuel Ortom of Benue state was specifically on the zoning of the presidential ticket and, with the votes of the representatives of all the 17 Southern states without any exception, the Committee unanimously recommended throwing open the PDP presidential ticket, which the PDP NEC simply upheld. One thing irrefutably stands out – Wike shot himself in the leg. Here was a man who had an overarching influence on both committees but could not insist that the ticket be zoned South. Many had wondered why? The reason is also relatively in plain sight: the Southeast factor. As the clamour for zoning of the presidential ticket of the PDP to South reached its crescendo, many had pointed out the fact that though the PDP Constitution had prescribed zoning of the office of the president to be between North and South since the South-west and South-south had taken their turns in producing the president and the vice in this current dispensation in the persons of Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan, zoning this time around, should not just be to the South but the Southeast. Atiku Abubakar went a step further by offering to step down from the race if it would be agreed that the touted zoning to the South would mean micro-zoning to the Southeast. Wike and the rest could not take the Atiku challenge maybe because Atiku would likely back Peter Obi, who was his vice-presidential running mate in 2019 and an ally. The prospects of Peter Obi picking the ticket if PDP zoned South was so real compelling Wike to go for an open contest, believing he could pick it up ahead of Atiku, Tambuwal and Bala Mohammed, given his large war chest. https://www.thecable.ng/2023-pdp-and-politics-of-healing-wikes-self-inflicted-injury/amp ddippset: |
