Re: A Pod Of Dolphins Seen In Tarkwa Bay, Lagos by Wickedfact:
There were at least 2 sightings of dolphins during the Covid lockdown in Lagos. I think it made front page on Nairaland then.

Immigration officials always missing in action when needed.

I wonder why they'll just allow citizens of other countries stroll into Nigeria unchecked......

Dolphin estate is a popular residential estate in Lagos located by the sea . It is so named because it was a major route for dolphins migrating to the south African coast. The water was shallow enough for people to go in and pet the dolphins.

The Dolphins stopped coming because they were hunted.

Beautiful creatures!

Through they are much smaller than Temperate breeds of Dolphins.

I remember we sighted something similar along the turbulent lagoon on our way to Atlascove terminal

Those Dolphins are at the wrong place, if they don't migrate now they will be used to make fish pepper soup.

My Ilaje friend was arrested by naval operatives in 2021 for killing a dolphin. It was then that I knew they are protected by international maritime law.

It was through bribery that he was let off the hook.
