He is very healthy, that is why he is talking about assets. No let Devil point your case to God so that they won’t use your life to play Bet9ja like Job. Be grateful, the consequences of being ungrateful is beyond what you can survive |

Someone is looking for skills, ideas to start life back at 50s and peeps here are telling him his being alive alone is an accomplishment. Lol. So if he continues living the so called life with no knowledge of what can help him in life, how can he progress! When i said that people who are too religious are like cancer to the society, some people will still defend it. OP, just browse through the comments and look for someone who is talking reality. And 50 is to old to start pursuing life. You can still do it, but that particular age will slow you down. You just need strong resilience and determination to find what skill which is trending and suitable for your age to do. |

Sirchiboy:Good health is key If you lack it, you can lose all your asset. You ain't going to the grave with assets. Stop worrying about material things |

seyicodes:Your brothers in the North don't live like strangers. They commit all sorts of crimes... From embezzlements, kidnapping, banditry, child marriage, terrorism eetc. These aren't the attributes of living as a stranger on earth. Though some Muslims are worthy of emulation but very few in number. We are all being consumed in the race to acquire wealth, sometimes, we turn to monsters without realising it. |

thisisit:No that's not the lesson. If you're trying to know if this disposition as a stranger instructs us to be idle or lackadaisical on the earth, then we also have instructions on sadaqatal jahiriya Meaning the activities you indulge in as a human that benefits you even after death. We are encouraged to be beneficial to humanity and animals alike. We are encouraged to raise people, create systems and initiatives that benefit life. Even as little as removing a harmful object from the road is highly rewarded. The instruction on living like a traveller is only in regards to your conduct in terms of sins and attachments. In terms of boasting or crying over things you tried to achieve but could not. In terms of preparedness to exit the world at a time that's unknown to you, in terms of paying your debts, standing up for the oppressed and not delaying doing any good thing you can do thinking you have a long time. With this mindset, you would not hold your brother in enmity over a small misunderstanding and you won't be envious of your neighbours over anything knowing that no one is guaranteed tomorrow. Believing this or not does not take away the fact that it is true. People who lived on the earth for just 24years for instance have spent millions of years already in the grave waiting for the judgement day. So what is the relative measurement of a 100years to 3million years old fossils for instance? |

Sirchiboy:At 50 you still don't know the meaning of asset. You mean you don't have 1. Good health and sound mind 2. No functional knowledge 3. No marketable skills or services 4. No strategic relationships (family, friends, associates, marriage, children, in laws) 5. Zero networth like no financial capital 6. No income producing asset - stock, land, house, business, investment Do you mean you will score zero over six here. Anyway 50 is not too late so you don't say the same at 60, 65 or 70. Once you are 70 it's over you will become senior citizen. You have 20 solid years to turn things around before you enter retirement. |

Sirchiboy:What do you mean by assets? You need to first have CLARITY on that definition of the term ASSETS. We have "depreciating assets" and "appreciating assets." |
| Re: 50 Years Without An Asset? What Is Your Advice? by AlphaTaikun: 2:14pm On Feb 23 |
ogawisdom:Succinctly stated. I just gave the same advice to the OP's post. You even added more meat on your response which shows that NL has a significant number of people with financial education. You have to have CLARITY on what an ASSET is before you know where you are headed in life. The original person that asked the question the OP posted comes from East Africa based off of his name. |

I've read lots of encouraging words to the poster. I really love that. Let us still not overlook the main thing. I know that the poster appreciate his life and health but there is someone he feel missing from him that will complete and make that good health more beautiful. He talked of getting to 50yrs without any assets. That's a very worrying situation. Thinking that you're 50, no house of your own and no good job that will guarantee you hope to build on is worrisome. At older age, where will he be? |

showboy2301:No matter how harsh, appreciate corrections. The world does not operate on your personal terms so anything to improve your image is to your advantage. A simple "Thank you" as you take note of the correction while ignoring the tone saves you are lot of hidden stress. |

Nigeria is one of the most difficult country to make it especially if you r not the corrupt type. Cheer up and keep hope alive. Don't pressure yourself but live everything in God's hands. |
