you're saying a 3rd party router would be better than starlink's own router 2?

Apparently, Airtel and Starlink have gotten into a partnership, or so the dealer that sent me this info claimed. It doesn't really make sense to me at all.

lol is the standard plan not 57k? Why will anyone opt for 500gb and pay 200k 😂

Hope he is not trying to scam you.
When the partnership was announced, only direct to cell connectivity was mentioned for 14 countries in Africa and till today there isn't any mention of Airtel offering starlink data plans or kit

I also searched everywhere but saw nothing regarding this partnership. I already have Starlink. I was just looking to get more info from him out of curiosity. Moreover, only a mad person would go for this ridiculousness.

It's been over a week since this announcement was and I still can't order for starlink from my location.

Abi na me no really understand the announcement? I was thinking no waitlists means everyone can order for starlink now irrespective of where you reside.

Yeah, I heard lag and abj already at capacity. But I'm based in benin city, I feel the speed should be way higher..

Just did this test now...

Your upload and ping are solid.
Please run the speed test from the starlink app (router to internet).

Also check your alignment/obstruction.
How long have you been experiencing low download speeds?

Here's the speed test result.

Been experiencing this since I installed it. Was installed 23rd February, this year.

Even my Mini performed better than this. Only logical explanation is your location is congested.
You can check your speeds around 6am. You should have better results.

Starlink advertised speeds in Nigeria as of today is 55 - 211 Mbps (for download). Your speed is still in that ballpark.

Starlink has been launching more satellites to the constellation. Speeds can only get better from here.

I checked around 5am or thereabouts this morning and I got over 300Mbps.

Oh, I see. Fingers crossed then.

Thanks for the enlightenment. Appreciate it.

That Amazon LEO isn't coming anytime soon cus they have a long way to go they need like 1k+ Satellites to run a commercial service but till date they don't have up to 300 Satellites so the JULY deadline is not possible.

I NEED ANSWERS
So I have a starlink mini that is mounted at my place in Ibadan, just today I got a notice that I will need to attend a training in Lagos from March 2nd till sometime in April (6 weeks).
Now I want to know if my Starlink will work there or I shouldn't bother myself taking it with me sad
Has anyone tried it before?
