Money to create instability in our neigbours region. The menae and financiers of unknown gunmen has been exposed. If you think this is not for insecurity in the region you need an examinatio.

Serious entrapment, and he fell for it. They probably thought one Mbah will be given the replacement job.
What if they just got wind of his account number and sent the money...

Then he immediately asked his acct manager to reverse it.

Transfered to his account in error ke... I smell a cover-up
Oga na setup for his father. Nigerians, EFCC or ICPC didn't want to hear such an amount without starting investigation.

It happened to someone I know when the access Bank account just being credited with 28M when the person only send 280k from another self account. When reported, it was reverted and left only the 280k there. So, why should someone just transfer Money to anyone by force because u know the account number and u can't stop it.

Thanks to Opay with that future to accept or decline incoming transfer.

Exousiang01:
I have not read the body of this report.
But the headline alone is a nonsensical thing to say.

There is no logical excuse for such an explanation to come from the police.
The ICPC should swing into investigation and take Egbetokun and his son in for questioning.

The president ask him to resign primarily because of this.

As a member of the ruling party and a member of the City Boy Movement I personally condemn the actions of the former IG and his son.

The ICPC as a matter of fact needs to investigate the Police Service Commission.

I am glad that Egbon Tunji is now the IG, a square peg in a square hole. I remember his days in Lagos as the RRS commander, his sacrifices during the COVID-19 pandemic.

If only the NPF can be half what the RRS was under the command of Egbon Tunji.
I believe in his ability to transform the NPF like he did with the RRS
What is the big deal in a whole IGs son receiving 100m chicken change? Abi is it not child's play compared to on Oga at the top that his own son bought £10m house at age 28 after turning the treasury of a state into a personal piggyback?
Abeg let the IGs son enjoy himself, it is his own time, when it reaches your turn, do as you wish(no be so una de talk?) , after all he too is a "city boy" aka shady gang, people with questionable wealth, people aspiring to have questionable wealth without enterprise, money na wataa gang, asskissers, gay people.

Even banks themselves as careful as they are, often transfers money into wrong accounts. What matters is that the funds has been returned back into the coffers of the Anambra state government. Anambra is in good hands.
And your name is what again?... Asomugha? undecided

This could be the reason the IGP was advised to submit his resignation to prevent disgrace. How does a mistake of transferring 100 million to his son’s account even happen? Kudos to Omoyele Sowore on exposing the fraud

What kind of silly lie is this! Who can ever transfer 100 million naira in error! This is a very stupid way of trying to cover a crime committed by those in authority.

No doubt ... mistakes can be made ... but the questioned that he need to be asked and pressed for an answer is was his son's name on the list of beneficiaries and if it was how did it get there? How many lives could've been saved because of this .....mistake? This makes me believe even more strongly that ...... some people need to be stoned ...not shot .....stoned
