Razzness:You forgot to add allahu akbar to it while they were at it. She was lynched for blasphemy and the lynchers were defended by Islamic clerics and lawyers in court on sharia basis. |

GreenCovering:A smart people don't stone people to death for blasphemy. I agree Tinubu is doing the right thing by working with US because I know only him can't stop this madness that was imported into our country about 20 years ago. Nigeria must Progress. |

Well, Gumi is on point on this. It's just that such statement should have come from none controversial Muslim clerics. There is no way US could change or stop culture and beleif of a community. They can only compromise it using their cunning ways. The Christians should just know this fact and rest. |

GreenCovering:This is the problem with you guys, i can bet my balls you're a muslim. What you don't understand is soonest, christians will also create their law and it will be in all the states in Nigeria, so also traditionalist. How can an archaic and unthoughtful sharia law be in effect in a modern 2026. What has shariah achieved in states where it was implemented? Sharia should be an organisation for muslims, just like muric, but not a law not to even talk of it being used in a whole state. That's bullshit, how can you be running 2 different laws in state. Muslims like to start rubbish, when others copy it and start doing same to them, the muslims are the first to complain. |

Bellotelli:Constitution doesnt forbid what is considered religious sin, be it within muslim or Christian dominated areas. It is concreted filled skulls people interpreting what their politically savvy elites have used to brainwash them into perpetual submission. Folks like you. |

We are talking about the law here, not the actions of some violent individuals. Even before the establishment of Shari'a courts, mob killings on accusations of blasphemy have been happening, back in the 80's. The crux of the mater is that there is no state in Nigeria that is governed by Shari'a. All states have a democratically elected government and law makers which make laws according to the constitution, not the Shari'a of Islam. The Shari'a courts were established on customary laws to attend the personal matters such as inheritance and divorce for Muslims who choose to do so. Is the law perfect? Obviously not. But that is thier problem. If you can't understand this, I don't know how to help you. Dbegining: |

No, the lynchers were protected because of politics. I remember even Atiku deleted his tweet condemning the incident. If the government were serious about catching her killers they would have done so, because some of their faces was captured on camera. In any case it was a very tragic incident, I can't imagine the horror she went through in her final moments. And if there is any justice in this life or the next, I hope she gets it in full. Razzness: Razzness: Razzness:See, this is where you don't get it. Shari'a is not binding on a people but rather on a territory. The main cause for the rejection of Shari'a by non Muslims is because they've seen the deception first hand. E.g Kaduna Shari'a is not on personal matters. It addresses matters related to communities. You're not trying to help me here. I'm the one trying to help you cause you're talking theory while I'm talking practical. I live in Kaduna. No be you go tell me wetin be Shari'a. There's a Shari'a court 5 minutes from where I live. |

Flexyup:Don't get me wrong sir. I sympathize with Deborah and I wish the perpetrators be brought to justice. Shari'a law doesn't encourage a mob action by people who could be doing worse than the so called blasphemy. That's why a reform is imperative for any society that the majority agree to practice the law. |
