Deborah was lynched by mob. In fact it was her own class mates that leaked the voice note she posted on their class Whatsapp group. It had nothing to do with Shari'a court. No Shari'a court in Nigeria can sentence a non Muslim for blasphemy.
You forgot to add allahu akbar to it while they were at it. She was lynched for blasphemy and the lynchers were defended by Islamic clerics and lawyers in court on sharia basis.

Gunmi is right. The opponents of shariah law are doing everything possible to import their satanic lifestyle into Muslims dominated Nigeria.
There is nothing like Muslim dominated or Christain dominated Nigeria. Nigeria is for Nigerians of any religion or creed. Love the country and do your best to live by the constitution.

"Don't you think that sharia criminal justice system will lead to breakup of Nigeria?" ---a BBC female Reporter asked Sani Yerima, the then governor of Zamfara state who brought sharia criminal justice system to Nigeria beginning 1999.
What was his response?

there is more to sharia than marriage and inheritance, cut off people hand when they steal, beheading and stoning people to death if it is perceived that they blaspheme the Islamic prophet
And their leaders that steal like Malami are not subjected to sharia law.

Shaira law is satanic in nature

Not a big fan of Gumi for his controversial clerical and tribal excesses and links to compromised people in security matters but he is absolutely spot on on this one. The report went too far. The shariah law does not persecute christians or support their persecution. So why call for it's abolition? It has existed peacefully for a thousand years in Nigeria before incidents of terrorism which are extremes to the shariah laws, one of the reasons for their being called terrorists anyway. So that line in the report is showing favoritism for christians over Muslims, the same problems that you claim you want to solve. The U.S. had better not create a bigger problem for Nigeria than we already have. Since they predicted Nigeria's disintegration during Obj's tenure and it didn't happen, we stood united and we are rebounding today economically even against the USD, now makes you wonder if they practically want to use their own hands to disintegrate it since their prediction failed?

I trust my president, PBAT. He is already taking the right steps to winning the battle against insecurity where everyone shall feel safe where they are domiciled. We shall overcome before the very eyes of the U.S. but not through this their divisive rhetorics. We shall work with their good advice and discard their ulterior motives. We are a smart people.
A smart people don't stone people to death for blasphemy. I agree Tinubu is doing the right thing by working with US because I know only him can't stop this madness that was imported into our country about 20 years ago. Nigeria must Progress.

Well, Gumi is on point on this. It's just that such statement should have come from none controversial Muslim clerics.
There is no way US could change or stop culture and beleif of a community. They can only compromise it using their cunning ways. The Christians should just know this fact and rest.

Sheikh Gumi himself, the Taqyiyah leader of data boiz and the spiritual leader of APC and the fake certificate holder.

Your Master has given you your spiritual advice. Remember he warned to resist any help from America and the West and instead go to Turkey another terror sector to seek help. You know what happened to the roasted electricity fraud in Turkey

Now the spiritual leader and teacher of APC is once again advising his students
People de ment for this forum sha. See comment by someone's parent. Na wa o.

This is the problem with you guys, i can bet my balls you're a muslim. What you don't understand is soonest, christians will also create their law and it will be in all the states in Nigeria, so also traditionalist. How can an archaic and unthoughtful sharia law be in effect in a modern 2026. What has shariah achieved in states where it was implemented? Sharia should be an organisation for muslims, just like muric, but not a law not to even talk of it being used in a whole state. That's bullshit, how can you be running 2 different laws in state. Muslims like to start rubbish, when others copy it and start doing same to them, the muslims are the first to complain.

Constitution doesnt forbid what is considered religious sin, be it within muslim or Christian dominated areas. It is concreted filled skulls people interpreting what their politically savvy elites have used to brainwash them into perpetual submission.
Folks like you.

We are talking about the law here, not the actions of some violent individuals. Even before the establishment of Shari'a courts, mob killings on accusations of blasphemy have been happening, back in the 80's.

The crux of the mater is that there is no state in Nigeria that is governed by Shari'a. All states have a democratically elected government and law makers which make laws according to the constitution, not the Shari'a of Islam.

The Shari'a courts were established on customary laws to attend the personal matters such as inheritance and divorce for Muslims who choose to do so. Is the law perfect? Obviously not. But that is thier problem.

If you can't understand this, I don't know how to help you.

Dbegining:
You don't get it. Is Shari'a law opposed to death for blasphemy?

For the fact that no Shari'a court has sanctioned anyone to death doesn't mean that Muslims don't already know that according to Shari'a they can kill for blasphemy.

Do you think an average northern Muslim knows the difference between criminal and civil law?

In their knowledge and by what their clerics have told them, Shari'a prescribes death for blasphemy and Shari'a is in effect in their states.

They are carrying out a law that is not in the constitution but is still a law. A law that is derived from the Quran and Hadiths. A law they know FROM the Quran and not from the Nigerian body of laws.
Re: Gumi Defends Shariah, Faults US Lawmakers’ Report by Razzness(m): 2:10pm On Feb 25
No, the lynchers were protected because of politics. I remember even Atiku deleted his tweet condemning the incident. If the government were serious about catching her killers they would have done so, because some of their faces was captured on camera.

In any case it was a very tragic incident, I can't imagine the horror she went through in her final moments. And if there is any justice in this life or the next, I hope she gets it in full.

See, this is where you don't get it. Shari'a is not binding on a people but rather on a territory.

The main cause for the rejection of Shari'a by non Muslims is because they've seen the deception first hand. E.g Kaduna

Shari'a is not on personal matters. It addresses matters related to communities.

You're not trying to help me here. I'm the one trying to help you cause you're talking theory while I'm talking practical. I live in Kaduna.

No be you go tell me wetin be Shari'a. There's a Shari'a court 5 minutes from where I live.

Una dey always like to make this man trend. He is mentally unstable for crying out loud and doesn't speak for the North in any capacity.

But this time around he is right. If states with 98% Muslim population decide to adopt Shari'a for rulings on social issues such as divorce, marriages, inheritance etc. I don't see how that is a problem.

Mind you, the Shari'a law provision is subordinate to the constitution of Nigeria. Even the highest Shari'a court ranks lower than state high courts. Moreover, A non-Muslim cannot be compelled to submit to a Shari’a court.

So I honestly don't see what all the fuss on Shari'a law is about. According to the Constitution, Nigeria is a secular state (Section 10 prohibits adoption of a state religion).
As month is coming to an end you've decided to double your hustle to see if you'll get bonus on the data boys stipend you survive on. cheesy .

Remember what happened to Deborah, the young beautiful Christian lady burnt alive?...if you don't sympathize with her and her family then i wish it on you too.
Don't get me wrong sir. I sympathize with Deborah and I wish the perpetrators be brought to justice. Shari'a law doesn't encourage a mob action by people who could be doing worse than the so called blasphemy. That's why a reform is imperative for any society that the majority agree to practice the law.
