It's not his fault, his sense is as short as a cover of a pen.

And I'm sure he'll be one of those demarketing his country as a corrupt country.

Mad people everywhere! Receiving bribe to invest in American home.

Home forfeited and sold, balance in account restituted. Serves him right!

On completion of his 87 months in the American prison, did you send him to Nigeria to do a repeat sentence in kuje or sokoto.

The current owners of 25340 Twin Oaks Pl, Valencia, CA 91381 are Bunyan Navin and Nayak Mukta, who purchased the property in July 2025. The residence was previously owned by Paulinus Iheanacho Okoronkwo and Ndubaku Ugo, whose ownership ended following a federal court-ordered forfeiture of the property in October 2025 related to foreign corruption charges

They forget they aren't in Nigeria.

The impunity they get away here wont tolerated in advanced countries.

If it was a bribe, it should have been wired to an offshore account in a tax haven where no questions are asked.
You are still angry he was caught stealing and still suggesting ways for him to escape with his loot.

No worries hand go touch you too

The fact the he used nearly $1 million as a down payment on a home in Valencia, California and the money was never disclosed as income in his tax return.

So the question that would arise is where did you get the money?

In saner climes, you can't just wake up one day and lavish such a huge sum of money on anything. Authorities will have to look into the source.

I do hope the US intends to repatriate the funds.
Why should they repatriate it when our own agencies were too enept to discover the theft?
Besides, is it even Nigerian money? It's a bribe by the Chinese, he never stole it from the Nigerian federation purse

When Boko Haram says Western education is sin, this is what they mean.

As much as that organisation needs to be eradicated in its entirety from the face of the earth and its members made to face the full wrath of the law, there may be a method to their madness.

Polished, educated and learned folks are the reason why this country is in this mess. Over 800 billion dollars has been looted from Nigeria in the past 40 years. Men whose education should have made them assets but their greed turned them into cancers and a curse on this nation. They loot from Nigeria to buy houses for themselves and their kids outside the country. Everyone of them. Your governor and mine inclusive. Your uncle and mine, your aunty and mine in one government office or another are all engaged in pillaging this country. You and I may even be doing same right now.

This is who we are as a people. A sad lot. Petty thieves with opportunities. May God help us all.
More than 800 billion USD has been stolen

Both sir and yes, it's a justifiable grouse dear corruption lover.
If this conviction had happened in Nigeria, we know how the Thief's people would have reacted. An average Nigerian doesn't hate corruption, he only hates it when it doesn't benefit him.

Even you would have done the same if you were in a senior position in the NNPC
You're projecting your criminal tendency on him which is very wrong. You can only speak of yourself but not someone you don't even know.
Someone said something like this in one WhatsApp group I'm a member of and I replied him the same way I replied to you here. Alaye started mentioning instances where he stood against corrupt practices in a very lengthy texts. When he was done, everyone started giving his comment "likes" but they forgot to ask him why he portrayed himself and everyone else as corrupt people earlier before I countered him.

It’s the lack of governance structures and institutions. You can’t entrust public funds and powers to individuals without checks. Remember that this is a religious country.
