Kuli Kuli has a terrible PR...was my favourite in primary school until my class teacher discouraged us by saying it was food meant for cows...stopped eating it back then and never got back to it even as a full grown adult now.
The bad PR it got in my hood was that it was made by lepers and handicapped with limbs cut off and therefore unhygienic

Donkwa

...or is it dankwa?🤔

Xx
When we were kids, we often used our church offering money to buy Donkwa and Coconut candy. There was also one called Alewa that tempted us quite a bit. We sin as kids because of these things no be small. Despite the allure of these sweet goodies, I still believe nothing can dethrone Kuli-kuli.

Coconut candy

This one ehn... cheesy
It is ''coconut sweet'' not ''coconut candy''. We don'tv say ''candy'' in Nigeria, we say ''sweet''.

If you say ''coconut candy'', not too many people especially the women who sell it, know what you are talking about. So, it is ''coconut sweet''.

Still don't know what they're nor am I ever going to be interested in knowing.

I didn't eat these snacks much back then because things irritate me easily.

I had this feeling they were prepared in unhygienic places, when my friends were buying I went for well packaged snacks instead. They nicknamed me OYIBO BOY. cheesy

Na coconut biscuit, milkose sweet, and chocolate chop my money. As I got older I upgraded to short bread biscuit.

If I tell una wetin I benefit from dat short bread biscuit, anyways somethings are better left unsaid.

The author of the post that I responded to called it "Coconut Candy". You can call it whatever you like but I refer to it as Coconut Candy.

I don't need your lecture or opinion on "coconut sweet". What do you mean by the statement that we don't say or know coconut candy in Nigeria?

Candy is defined as: "a sugar-based confection, often combined with chocolate, fruits, or nuts, commonly eaten as a sweet snack".

Maybe you should read before you comment!

Someone offered me many sisi pelebe.
I collected it and gave everything out to outsiders.
I don't eat such because I am careful about what I eat.

How can handicaps and people who don't have limbs make a product!
And why will a sensible company or human give lepers Kuli kuii to produce!

Your speech is confusing.
