Appleyard:Did you just say effective capabilities ? The Ukrainians have been on the defense for the most part of the conflicts. You just compared a country on Western economic life support with a war-machine like Russia, I'm not even pro-Russian. I don't know if you have seen the news lately, As of February 2026, Ukraine is facing its most severe heating crisis in four years. The Ukrainians are nowhere near the Russian capabilities. In fewer terse, this is still a SMO (not a full scale war)for the Russians but for the Ukraine it's existential, they are bound to score some hits. The conflict is four years now ? The Russians can definitely keep this up for another four years, can you say the same for the Ukrainians ? |

I should laugh or cry. If US gets into a war with Iran , no ballistic missile will be fired from Iran USAF is nothing like IDF. IDF could not sustain a no flight zone, lack enough refuelling tankers and loitering bombers. IDF was able to operate for 12 days without any planes getting shot down. America would take out every radar site within hours. Then they would have B-52s and B2-Bs loitering over Iran space waiting for a target to be identified. USAF is not like IDF to be threatened with ballistic missiles. Meanwhile every fighter jet would be picking out Khamanei militay. If he fires at a USS Carrier then an open war of invasion would be declared. In an invasion Iranians would support America to get rid of Khamanei. When your own citizens are sabotaging your defences your goose is cooked. Trump is unlike Obama who approved every drone bombing of a terrorist. Trump would tell the military generals go ahead and get me a victory. Iran is a barking dog with enough ballistic missiles hidden underground. USAF would carpet bomb every square centimeter from where's the missiles are being launched. Venezuela didn't realize they were being attacked until too late The US military isn't anywhere course to the rag tag Russians . Muslim armies are medieval , they torture prisoners of war , they bomb indiscriminately targeting civilians, they lie to their own people about how victorious they've been while in underground bunkers They go to UN to demand their enemies follow war protocols, while they do the opposite. The only Muslim country that's has a modern army is Turkey. The rest will quickly degenerate into war tactics used in medieval warfare |

basilico:Isn't it amazing for you to know more than the experienced Generals who are advising Trump over the risks and danger inherent in striking Iran. E sure me say you never do boys scout before sef now you turn war strategist. |
| Re: Russia-Ukraine War: World News, Weapons & Battlefield Discussions - Live by Watcharena: 4:20am On Feb 26 |
basilico:and you think Iran didn't factor all those things by developing the ability to fire missiles directly beneath the earth surface without having the need to come to the surface ,Iran tested those missiles more than five years back. So there's no way Iran won't be able to fire their missiles ,no country can single handedly invade Iran given the current arrangements us doesn't have the Manpower, |

⚡At least 5 Russian Iskander-M ballistic missiles have struck Kyiv and Kharkiv City. |
| Re: Russia-Ukraine War: World News, Weapons & Battlefield Discussions - Live by basilico: 4:32am On Feb 26 |
Watcharena:Point is. Iran only strength is ballistic missiles. They will use the old enemy adage, to fire at Israel knowing that every Muslim nation hates Israel IDF was able to disable a serious number of mobile launchers without a constant air presence. Imagine USAF, with thousands of of jers and fighter bombers , drones and thousands of missiles over Iranian space. Saddam used to hide his mobile SCUD missiles and fire then towards Israel. Today US is using LEO Star link and it's own Space Force to detect missile launches . With technology so advanced ,a launcher can be disabled within minutes Short Iran can only damage a few hundred times before being shut down in total. Barking dogs make the most noise. They never planned for a war with IDF or US army involving invasion. Their next target would be Aramco and mining the straight of Hormuz. Basically just sabotage operations ,fire hypersonics here and there, block oil flow until the west halts. What kind of army depends on anti war sentiments apart from terrorist groups like Hamas and Hezbollah. An army hiding underground, and you call it formidable? |

dermmy:The general never said that. It's saboteur's feeding the media. He would not be afraid to tell Trump to his face The Venezuela raid , someone leaked it to the media too in advance. Fortunately New York Times and Washington Post never published it. Those two are usually fed leaks by rogue CIA agents , should you see anything from them it's mostly from the Intelligence Community. |

⚡Iran has surged oil exports from Kharg Island, loading about 20 million barrels from Feb. 15–20—nearly triple January’s pace as the US boosts military forces in the region. Satellite data show tanker activity doubling, suggesting Tehran is moving oil quickly in case tensions disrupt shipments.

⚡JD Vance on Iran: Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon; if they try to rebuild the nuclear weapon, that causes problems for us. In fact, we've seen evidence that they have tried to do exactly that.

⚡Rubio on Iran: They are facing sanctions, their economy is in tatters, their people are suffering, and somehow they still find the money to invest in missiles of greater and greater capacity every year. This is an unsustainable threat.

| Re: Russia-Ukraine War: World News, Weapons & Battlefield Discussions - Live by WriteerNg: 5:41am On Feb 26 |
⚡Rubio on Iran: If, in fact, what you're interested in is a peaceful nuclear program, you can do it like most of the countries in the world do it, which is they have above-ground reactors and they import the fuel. We have deals now to do that with countries. If what they really wanted was energy, they could do small modular reactors, which is something that's quite affordable and achievable for a lot of countries. But when you say “we want to enrich, and we want to enrich deep underground,” and you have a history in the past of enriching to 20 and even 60 percent, plus you're building missiles that could potentially carry warheads, that doesn't sound to me like a country that's not interested in building weapons.

⚡Rubio on Iran: They are trying to achieve intercontinental ballistic missiles. For example, you’ve seen them try to launch satellites into space. They are headed on a pathway to one day being able to develop weapons that could reach the continental US. They already possess weapons that could reach much of Europe, already now as we speak.

⚡Rubio on Iran: Eventually, we’ll have to have conversations about more than just the nuclear program, but if you can’t even make progress on the nuclear program, it’s going to be hard to make progress on the ballistic missiles as well.

⚡Senator Graham on Iran: If media reports are true that there is a consideration of allowing Iran to have very small enrichment of uranium for face-saving purposes: screw that. I hope help is on the way. |
| Re: Russia-Ukraine War: World News, Weapons & Battlefield Discussions - Live by WriteerNg: 6:15am On Feb 26 |
⚡Rubio on Iran: Iran possesses a very large number of ballistic missiles, particularly short-range ballistic missiles that threaten the United States and our bases in the region, and our partners in the region. And all of our bases in the UAE, in Qatar, in Bahrain. They also possess naval assets that threaten shipping and try to threaten the US Navy. So I want everyone to understand that beyond just the nuclear program, they possess these conventional weapons that are solely designed to attack America and attack Americans.

Scorpio99:They should go ahead. Why is Trump dragging his foot. Isn't the military posturing enough? Is there any other thing to deploy that has not been deployed. May be Trump still wants to deploy Air force one to the middle east before the war starts. |

dermmy:Which one is they should go ahead... Is a talk not going on? You want to interpret the restraint as weakness again? And if they go ahead, you will be here to cry again and say they struck in the middle of negotiations. I see You are really desperate. Even the Iranian government will lay a curse on you for this taunt. |

⚡China has flown a large military drone at least 23 times from Hainan since August while broadcasting false aircraft identities, making it appear to be planes such as a sanctioned Belarusian cargo jet or a British RAF Typhoon. Analysts link the drone to the Wing Loong 2 and say the flights over the South China Sea test electronic deception tactics that could mask surveillance or create confusion in a conflict, particularly in a potential Taiwan scenario.
