Any domain name you buy is yours. Nothing will come out of the lawsuit.
. Can't remember the company that sued and won a case where a man wanted to sell the domain name to a well known company in Europe.. the company won him in court even though he held the domain name for many years.

Re: Most Expensive Domain Names Ever Sold by henrycloud: 11:59am On Feb 25
This reminds me of the time I tried this gig, bought one expired domain belonging to an active hotel in Texas waiting for them to come after putting up for sale, for less than $500. They simply bought and registered another website and never reached out.

Even the almighty Google surprisingly lost google.com to a former employee like that. The guy bought it for 12 dollar.

The guy was paid a paltry $12,000.

Bro the rate of foreigners getting murdered to bringing crime to America why they locked their borders.

in my current location there's higher risk than I die faster due to insecurity.

I don't know if this is caused by hunger or nonchalantness of security body.

But robbery and kidnapping is at all-time high

yeah it's GoDaddy

Most times it doesn't matter where you Listed it, what matters most is the domain name itself and your strategy
Re: Most Expensive Domain Names Ever Sold by DeOTR: 8:57am On Feb 26
edogu:
That is not entirely correct. If you purchase a domain name that has already been trademarked, the trademark owner can request that it be withdrawn from you, depending on factors such as the timing of your purchase and the intention behind it. If the domain was registered after the trademark was established, the company has strong grounds to petition against your ownership. However, if the domain was registered before the business existed or before the trademark was granted, you may have a valid chance of retaining the name.

That said, if you register a domain name that is closely related to another company’s brand and it is likely to mislead, scam, or confuse consumers, you can be petitioned or sued. For example, registering micrsoft .com (a deliberate misspelling) would likely result in legal action by Microsoft, and you could be compelled to hand over the domain.
I'm talking about buying a domain name in good faith way before any brand has the actual business name; you're not trying to sell it to them when they became well known to exploit the situation; you're not using the name for anything targeting them. The name is yours.
Most organizations but all variants of their name (.com, .org, etc) and trying to buy something close can prove to be impossible. A domain name won't be available for purchase if it matches an existing one by 70 or more. You can try it.
What I'm trying to say is that, innocently buying a domain name 20 years ago won't get you into trouble if an organization chooses to have that brand name years later. They can't legitimately lay claims to that name.
