The Lisabi Festival Committee has issued a strong rebuttal to online claims that the forthcoming 39th edition of the historic celebration is being transformed into a platform for the cultural fashion initiative championed by the Aare of Egbaland, Chief Lai Labode, known as “Egbaliganza.”https://punchng.com/lisabi-festival-remains-intact-planning-committee-insists/

What Is freedom?? Nigeria that is free from England, are we truly happy? Just some bunch of greedy people that want everything for themselves always come in the name of freedom fighting. Funny thing Is you will not be invited to the bounty table if the so called freedom is achieved, only those who initiate it enjoy. What's the advantage of Nigeria having freedom from UK? There's nothing you can do now that you can't do before. You can study in UK if you want to, u can he a lawyer and be anything u want. But some people will always be brainwashed into thinking life will be better for you if we go...but the truth is .. you are just pun, they were not thinking of you when they said "freedom", they are only mean the freedom for them to do whatever they want with you |

This is a traditional festival federal and state governments should sponsor it. Just like they fund foreign religions on pilgrimage with billions of taxpayers money. They should as well sponsor indigenous religion to balance the unfare treatment Since Nigeria doesn't know that as a secular state Nigeria as a country should not fund religious activities. In other advance and rich countries like USA,UK, Germany Russia etc. religion I a private affairs funded by individuals. But since we have brain damage individuals in charge of government we now pump billions into religion instead of industries and other better sector |

Shouldn't there be a limit to how much cultural festivals are commercialised? With the complaint on how Non-Egbas and indeed Non Yorubas were at the forefront of the festival, dictating the theme, the cultural attires and the rest was deeply unacceptable. Egbaliganza should rather stick to the slot alloted to it by the organisers or be completely yanked off. |

NetbizBoss:While we honor and celebrate our solemn feast days, we must amplify them with the same intensity afforded to foreign religions and pilgrimages funded by taxpayers. We need equal commitment to celebrating our rich history, as it is fundamental to any meaningful reflection on cultural continuity, restoration, and reinterpretation |

YourGFsnatcher:Without independence you'd be a village illiterate. Was it the British that built the schools you attended? Our grandparents & great-grandparents were farm-stuck illiterate village peasants for a reason, ok? So better know where you're coming from and be grateful. |

Kemetian:Did you know that all the heads of states that ruled you studied under the bristish rule? Will you say our education system is better than the one Obasanjo or Gowon recieved? Saying we will be village illiterates means you don't even understand the situation. So Awolowo was an illiterate abi? |
