Its really beauful. At least she now has a family she can call her own, not an outcast. Allah will judge between them.
At least many communities here in Naija have population with more than half as bastards. Never know who fathered them. And some think its normal to be born out of wedlock.

You are right, but why did you dodge the question I wrote. Second question why should he rape his cousin, why was the lady accused of adultery when it was a rape by the guy, what the lady and not the guy, why should they force her to marry him, then why did the family cut her off if not for an extreme religious ideology.

Don't you know that Afghanistan is an Islamic country. Everyone or let's say 99% of the citizens support religion extremism of the ruling class. America came to influence things positively but majorly because of Russia dispute with Afghanistan and also the comfort harbour for militancy training or better put it terrorists training. America didn't come to Afghanistan to make it better or change their doctrines or religious believe. They came to block Russia and also to stop infiltration of terrorists into Afghanistan which has always been a good hub for terrorists training all over the world. America were able to put a stop to the gathering of Terrorists for training in Afghanistan but couldn't eradicate the terror mentality of the leaders of Afghanistan. America partly achieved their objectives but couldn't make the people, the ordinary citizens have a better lives since their leaders are extremists and believe in enslaving their citizens especially women......America did their best but there is a big lesson to learn here, no matter the amount of help and support in form of aid that a foreign country offers to another country. If the citizens and the leaders aren't ready to make things better for their country, just like Nigeria right now. Nothing, absolutely nothing that the supporting country can do. America can come over and try to help, even fight your fights but all those has an extent. It's only the citizens and the leaders that can reshape their mentality and start doing the right thing to make the country better......

I don't wish to defend what is happening here, but asking Saudi to do something is almost the same as asking Italy to do something about a roman catholic country where a girl is raped (happens many times).

Islam, like christianity, is not one unified religion, there are many 'denonminations' (I know muslims will disagree with me)...so what someone would say about x in one muslim country, another muslim country would say is wrong.

Afghanistan practices a form of Islam called Deobandi. It's so strict it even makes the Iranian shiites look like woke leftists. It even makes the conservative Saudis look like liberals self ( Saudi allows women to drive now...or even go to work...a deobandi would regard that as sinful).

Afghanistan's problems started when the secular government tried to secularize the country in the mid 1970's...which provoked a violent reaction from the conservatives.

Add the fact that the islam practiced in Afghanistan is overtly strict....and disaster.

Then the communists took over, tried to keep on secularizing the country, and then got into fights with each other, which led to Russian intervention, which led to the US intervening on the side of the conservatives, to have their revenge on Russia for Vietnam...but even without US intervention, Russia was being financially drained by the war....which eventually forced them to leave (Add the fact that they were also subsidising all the other communist states AND afghanistan as well...)

But to be honest, even if the US didn't intervene, the conservatives would have won, and Afghanistan would have remained the same.

Also, when Afghanistan had kings (up to 1973), the kings tried their hardest to secularize the nation, and it always ended in crisis. No american intervention needed.

Heck, even the USA tried. Even tried to improve women's rights and so forth. Most Afghanis said no thanks. It doesn't matter who tried to do things like even improving women's lot and so forth.be it the Afghan kings, the secular republic, the communists, the USSR , even the USA......most Afghanis support the kind of stuff like women being forced to marry their rapists. It's all about the ultra strict form of Islam they practice, which is so strict, it makes the Iranian ayatollahs look like woke American liberals!

Thanks for that clear narration. That Deobandi belief is more like Shari'a belief in Afghanistan but an extreme Islamic belief. The followers believe western education should be abolished, and any where it's been practiced should be destroyed. They believe that woman should be enslaved cos they were created for enjoyment of men. They don't believe in innovation or creativity.....it's like taking the world back to hundred years backwards ........so many things they do that aren't palatable to say here on social media.....and funnily, that Deobandi belief was created in the 19th century in India, funnily because even India don't take that doctrine to the extreme as been done by the Afghanistan.....

Exodus 22v16-17 clearly shows “seduces” which means consensual sex….its talking about toasting a virgin lady you dont want to marry and deceiving her to have sex….

Deutronomy 22 which u quoted carries a context that started from verse 25 addressing rape and it clearly stated that if man a rapes woman he should be sentenced to death…..and further clarifies that women did nothing wrong….so how can a man that has been sentenced to death marry the person he raped??

Verse 28 -29 is still talking about those that had consensual and the woman has not been engaged to another man.. then he must wife her
