Pearl1910:My brother sorry u found my last comments offensive. this is what I meant. If ojodu to Ikeja for 4000 is average for you then it means same trip for 2000 or 2500k will be poor. Let's assume u normally gross 60k daily meaning you might need to complete 15 trips to achieve this on average price. Now cause we want to 'work' and don't want to 'wait' you accept prices of 2000-2500 completing 24 trips or so to achieve same 60k. Now tell me won't your pocket be full but are you still profitable? When u can even be more methodological and look for even above average prices and maybe do 7 or 9 trips. But you wait longer. Like the man that posted . 9am to 9pm only 6 trips. So my friend you can actually do more trips to meet up ur target and yet not make money. Someone going to Ikeja from Ojodu to work might just wanna make his fuel money back and accept 1500 or 2000 but can an ehailing driver do that? For me I'll rather be parked and waiting than just driving around Lagos. And it works for me. Cause funny enough you ALWAYS have juicy trips EVERYDAY on indrive. Some riders don't wanna waste their time or urs. Just u have to always be looking at d screen to snatch and grab once d opportunity presents. Please no hard feelings. U na Egbon for this thread |

People are mostly requesting rides from inDrive compared to bolt and Uber ,this bad for business cause inDrive prices are cutthroat and make do prices ..We need more shift on bolt and Uber .. |

Memberclub:Someone was arguing that investing in uber fleet now is a waste of time and resources, i agree. My guy, back when i used to work outside Nigeria, most people prefer to work for companies where the leader na European/American, than any other nationality, you know why? They treat you better. With how hard things be now, make person with family dey deliver 60k weekly... Assuming you dey pay am salary, how much you go dey pay am? If he no dey touch money earned from driving, how much you go dey pay am for driving 10-12hrs every day every week? Will you cover his health insurance? Life insurance? What benefit does he get? Paid leave? Paid sick leave? Smh abi na slave.? ... Like i said one time previously, most of us can't see beyond what we know, which is normal. Na only uber business person go invest in, he wan realize him returns today today, not so... Na bad roads, bad drivers and bad maintenence culture we get, if not, ur car suppose stay years for road yield okay returns for long. If nigeria had a working system, you CAN'T afford to keep a driver working 12hrs a day, you go too pay am... But alas this is Nigeria, na why big men prefer living her over overseas, cus here you pay driver 50-70k, chef same amount, cleaner 40k, etc, abuse of labour, no labour laws.... To the dimwit who said i should give car for 30k a week, if i had it, that's exactly what I'll do, employment is meant to better the life of the employed, not just the employer, if you can't afford to create a business environment where it doesn't feel like slavery, then you shouldn't be in that business. May God permit me to use this example, my compound gate man is paid 50k monthly, others use him to do various tasks, car washing, errands, cleaning, washing clothes etc cus that's how typical Nigerians abuse people... Now I use him for that as well, i can say 'my money contributes to his monthly pay, so no need to pay extras for extras he does' i may or may not be right, but God forbid i do... Money wey dat guy dey chop for my hand every month is almost tantamount to his salary, if i was more bouyant, he'd chop more and guess what the result of that is? Hes EAGER to run errands for, he takes care of my shi without me saying, he's happy to work for me.... I'm big believer of paying people what's due, no one will feel used or abused under me. Maybe if car owners made sure their drivers were happy, they'll take care of their cars like it's theirs? Maybe? The day i can no longer afford to pay him extras, I'll do my chores myself. If you can't afford to mkae ur uber investment returns slowly, invest in keke. |

Kumuyiii:You never buy car give driver before, na why you go they talk this kind thing. I'm surprised that someone will still be advocating for 30k remittance at this point. 30fkn..K. Even you no fit try am. Just 1 repair will wipe off 1month remittance. |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Kaymax2222: 12:17pm On Feb 26 |
ReadaDream:no mind the guy jare people have been complaining here of car maintenance and all he is still talking of 30k remittance if not for greed no sane person should even accept that kind of offer from car owner. You suppose beg am to increase it to 40-50k from your own good will because if anything do the car and the owner cannot fix it how will you continue making that money |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Kumuyiii(m): 12:34pm On Feb 26 |
ReadaDream:Then invest in a keke... Or stocks. Sha no use person. No be force to invest in uber abi..? You're not blind, ure seeing the prices everybody is seeing. If it's not H-purchase, no one has any business paying such amount in such business climate. For the record 50k per week is what my guy dey pay for hire purchase. |

| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by ReadaDream(m): 12:41pm On Feb 26 |
Kaymax2222:Way back 2021, I was paying 35k on a Corolla as remittance. ...I would not give out a car for anything less than 70k right now. If its on CNG and smaller engine like 1.3/1.1.. its 100k. You no gree, leave am. Its business, not charity. If e easy, make the driver bring out 3m go buy one dead car they manage. If you invest 5m now, collecting 40k weekly, it will take you 3years of consistent payment to recoup 5m investment 😀. |

Kumuyiii:Advocating for a meaningful rental fee is not 'using' person or slavery as you wish to call it... as bad as the fares are, one can still take home 25-30k working 6am to 6pm. Its not rocket science. Save 10-15k daily for the car owner.. how bad can that be?.. ...also you can't tell people to invest in Keke, when they have chosen to invest in ehailing. If my coconut head says I should invest in Ehailing, best believe me, I'm coming up with terms to secure my investment, its not emotion, its business. Friendship no they for business. |

Dabadwela:Landlord bought land, millions, building, millions... But when they put price high, suddenly ur brain kicks in.... 'you want to realise ur investment in a year? Ah ah nau, it's too much' suddenly you realise investment is not meant to be recouped in a year or 2. I gave you a simple task.... Call a real company that knows business, enviable transport by obi Cubana, tell them say you wan invest in keke or car, how much monthly, mind you, after they've repaid you, ur car is gone oh. Then get back to me with ur findings. Say someday use you then, no means say you go use person now. If everywhere soft, sure by all means, conditions should be renegotiated. Equity. Na wetin dem wan use remit 60k/70k per week be dis abi? Oya na

₦30,000 per week? Let’s be very direct 👇🏽 That is far below market reality in 2026 Nigeria. 📊 Quick Breakdown Even in a struggling city like Port Harcourt: Average active driver makes ₦120k–₦180k weekly gross. After fuel & expenses, he may net ₦70k–₦110k. If you collect ₦30k weekly, that means: ₦120k per month. ₦1.56m per year. You will not even recover the car’s value in reasonable time. Meanwhile: Engine wear Suspension damage Transmission stress Accident risk Insurance exposure Depreciation All on your head. 🔍 Let’s Be Honest ₦30k weekly is: Either charity Or someone trying to emotionally negotiate Or someone comparing to 2019 rates Even dispatch bikes collect more than that now.

Kumuyiii:"One thing we should bear in mind is, is not only fuel money you should be concerned about, whatever you end the day with as profit, you should factor in maintenance.." Exactly. I learnt this the hard way when I first started this hustle. I was taking every trip Bolt threw my way... I was making money alright, but I was spending a lot on repairs. Before I know, alternator don spoil...next week, shaft leg break...I saw my car deteriorating before my very eyes. I had to purse and think...is this system worth it. What pays me now is to be selective of where I go and the trips i accept. With this mode of operation, I get to keep more of what I make, instead of making and spending 3/4 on repairs. I wish I had realized this mode earlier. Anyway, to each his own. |
