So I went for a personal evangelism.. Thats one on one preaching and expounding the light of God... I like discussing the Bible with anyone interested... if you tell me to go I carry my Kaya and go... I met a young man.. we established rapport and started divulging the Bible... Me:Have you accepted the life of christ Youngman: I was a Christian before but now I don't believe any more. Me :Why? Youngman : Because it's all lies, the so called imaginary God. I rather believe in Krishna than be a Christian... Me: OK hang on to your beliefs... I moved on... I am not force my belief on you... I just plant a seed of the word of God.... and let it sarinate.... I can beg you... Life nah per head |

But you know you’ve failed, right? What’s the purpose of your preaching if it’s only directed at people that have previous knowledge of the Bible. It would have been better if you had just laid on your bed than go deceive yourself. |

SpencerForbes:Lol…But there is no where he mentioned he is only preaching to people with previous knowledge of the bible….. he just met someone who happened to be an atheist/former church goer I mean…Pple dont have religion or atheist tags on their head … |

Christians vs atheists no dey move again for Nairaland. That was back in 2010 - 2015/2016. Now, believe whatever you want. We’ll find out the truth on the last day. |

advanceDNA:Why is he scared of atheists? He didn’t even make any attempt but just gave up. If evangelism started that way, I don’t think it would have gotten to Africa. Or is evangelism only for those that have religion? |
| Re: My Conversation With An Atheist by advanceDNA: 2:27pm On Feb 27 |
SpencerForbes:Scared of atheist….?? Hahahahahaha!!! He doesn't need to compel the atheist… because its not just what a preacher says that makes pple believe.. |

It's a lot of work. Where would he even start from? I don't really blame the guy. He knew his limits. The world is packed with numerous unconverted religious people. Let him face his assignment. Face them. SpencerForbes: |

churro:Evangelism doesn’t always have to yield an immediate result; sometimes, it’s just a process. It’s about following up and actually putting in the work to reach someone. If the apostles or the early missionaries had that 'instant results' mindset, the message probably never would’ve reached Africa. You only move on once you’ve genuinely tried and seen zero response. Giving up on a soul just to avoid a little 'stress' feels like a huge missed opportunity. |
| Re: My Conversation With An Atheist by Nobody: 4:40pm On Feb 27 |
advanceDNA:Are you basically saying he’s lacking the Holy Spirit? Because from what I know, the Spirit is supposed to be a teacher and a source of boldness. He really just gave up on a soul. Think about it—former atheists often have a much better shot at reaching others than someone who’s been a Christian since birth. He walked away just because he didn't want to 'compel' him, but does that really sound like an excuse that holds up when you’re standing before your Maker? |

SpencerForbes:hahahahahha! … i ddnt say anything.. but you are free to insinuate a whole bunch of garbage though.. SpencerForbes:U atheist kukuma know small bible… so go check the bible if u like, the early disciples like paul preach and pple refuse to accept/believe all the time…they ddnt force or compel them…. They went to other location.. and left them with the seed of the word planted in their heart…. Gospel is not by force SpencerForbes:im not thinking about anything…. There are many more atheist and pple the guy will meet that will beleive….. even Jesus told his disciples in a figure of speech to shake the dust of an area off their sandal if they dont believe… no time to waste time.. hahahahahaha!! SpencerForbes:yes …. Its a very good excuse…they preach to you.. u nor listen…:but u want to blame the preacher…hahahahahhahaha!! |

advanceDNA:He never actually said he was preaching to the man. He just asked a question, got his answer, and moved on. If Paul had taken that same approach with the eunuch on the chariot, I doubt the man would have ever become such a significant convert or even had his story recorded in the Bible. Just imagine Paul asking, "Do you know God?" and the man replying, "No, but I’ve been reading." If Paul had just told him, "Cool, keep reading," that sounds totally "awesome”☺️. |

I only shortened the interaction...in this post we conversed for almost one hour... I listed scriptures upon scripture. that shows God's enduring love and persuasive attitude to mankind... Guy was adamant ...I will not do the work of the Holy Spirit... According to the Bible.. "Paul planted, appollos watered, God gave the increase " |

SpencerForbes:Lol….: paul and eunuch on chariot?? U sure u have ever read the the bible before becoming an atheist..? Hahahahahahaha.. if they ask tou know.. u will claim u know the bible in and out and but u left because it ddnt make sense to you… lol Anyways.. the eunuch showed enthusiasm to listen to philip …if the eunuch said he wasn't interested, philip would have left him to wallow in his ignorance and pride…. Baba no time to check time….. pple are waiting to beleive |

MONEY247:Resist the urge to shalaye…. Atheist dont care anyways |
| Re: My Conversation With An Atheist by Dtruthspeaker: 6:30am On Feb 28 |
MONEY247:Ehen! Now its clearer and sorry the bottomline is that you failed. You don't win an atheist from quoting the Bible. If you indeed understand the Bible then you would be smarter than an atheist and you can beat them fair and square, even though he still retains his right to reject God even after your putting it to him that he needs God. However, it is not everyone that must be saved. God too may have declared that some certain people will never be saved as part of their cusses |

Dtruthspeaker:How did he fail na? Some people are hearer and not doer of the word, then what's the point though. His conversation was not explicitly stated on this forum, so you couldn't have judged him that he failed because he did his best by spreading the gospel once again to a "former christian turned Atheist". Do you know if the Holy spirit have taken over the Atheist aftermath of the preaching? |

martinskelly:You can see it in his first post. Even he can saw that he did not score anything. I almost wanted to respond to that post that why did he then say it here. |
