If the US does indeed move on Iran,(seems preparations are underway), they better have a solid plan, framework, succession strategy to deal with or at least, contain the fallout...

If the plan is Reza Pahlavi(this one go pass figurehead grin), it should be a temporary plan... Transitional government phase giving way to a proper democracy...
And so it begins.....

Funny enough we have had enough civil wars in our past history as yorubas. Homogenity did not stop that.

Operation wetie was Yoruba on Yoruba violence within the south West.
That is the normal conquest war that happened pre-civilization which happened almost everywhere on the planet from Rome to Greece to Ile Ife to Dahomey to Mali empire etc.

I am talking about a real country/nation that is homogenous and living in peace in this civilization era.

Look at countries like Lesotho, Botswana, Swaziland, etc. These countries are homogenous ethnically and you barely hear anything about them being at each other's necks. As small as tbey may seem, tbey are ruling themselves and making their own little progress without the kind of suspicious hostility we have towards each other in a country like Nigeria.

If we go farther from Africa and look at other homogenous countries like Japan, Poland, etc they are all doing well for themselves...... That's why I say using just South Sudan and Somalia that are outliers in the data set doesn't cut it for me.

PS: I don't know if they are right or not, but people clamoring for Nigeria's division along the major ethnic lines are doing so because they have the following beliefs :

1. If for example there's an Igbo nation, a Yoruba nation, Hausa/Fulani nation, etc.... People assume that the declvelopment of these individual nations will be priority to the leaders of each nation instead of selfish motive of embezzling public funds before the country's treasury runs dry like most Nigeria's current leaders are doing.

2. Common people will pay more attention to holding their leaders accountable instead of defending them blindly against criticism from members of other tribes like we currently have in Nigeria. For example: some Yorubas today don't care whatever cilorruption that is going on in Tinubu's government, they are just satisfied a Yoruba man is ruling. They believe if the Hausa/Fulani stock could support Buhari for the full 8 years he was running Nigeria aground while his ministers like Malami, Hadi Sirika, etc plundered the country's resources ; then why can't we Yorubas do the same for Tinubu?

3. It will be easy for citizens of any of the new nation to bandy together to fight against any set of corrupt leaders. The idea of divide and rule which the current Nigerian leaders use that works effectively in a multi ethnic country like Nigeria won't work in the new country.
1. Your example is just the same with a state governor. His own state nko? Imagine Anambra state government sending 100m to the illegal Ex IGP son. His own people's money oh...No northerner or Yoruba man was involved in the deal.

2. Common people never even hold their governors accountable for anything. How dem wan take hold their national government accountable?

3. When you divide, then you will see Divide and Rule between Anambra and Imo, Ibadan and Oyo, Urhobo and Itsekiris. There's always something to be divided in Nigeria.

My point it, in our little circles, there's no accountability. It will be no different from what's happening now if we divide.

They created a SEDC. Every member on the board is Igbo.

Gave them 140 billion for 2025.

Baba first wipe 450 million on conferences.

Then 2026 budget, has him setting aside billions on CCTV and Drones

When we divide Nigeria, na this kind person go still rule us.

America joined the party but soon ran out of interceptor missiles & sued for peace.

You are not getting it. SEDC was created under the current Nigerian arrangement.

Most Igbos would not attack the members because they feel it is just Igbos eating their own portion of the national cake which Niger Deltans have been eating since creation of NDDC.

I'm saying if there's an Igbo state for example governing only Igbos, the people will drag their leaders and ask them pertinent questions on why their commonwealth is being eaten by the minority who are leaders. The people can go to any extra mile to bring the people responsible to justice.

You sef, you like trouble pass fight 😂😂

But the truth is, despite how you feel about their opinions, their is a validity to some of their takes...

What is the end goal here, Iran won't be occupied, and I don't think Trump and his Cabinet are competent enough to topple this regime and transition it properly...
This is just my initial thought though, they may have made preparations on who to install and how to run the government without a lot of conflicts within, we can't know until we get there...

P.S- I thought Venezuela would be a much more violent aftermath but it's been relatively normal, so Trump and Netanyahu might just surprise us again....

Iran is like three times the size of Ukraine.
Have one of the hardest & complicated terrain for invasion force. So literally, a land invasion is out of the way.
What happened to Maduro is that the VP and his military sold him out. Obviously, if such option is available in Iran/IRGC the Israeli and American missiles and drones will not be striking Tehran today, and the IDF opening all bomb shelters in Israel. Also closing their airspace.

Your 2nd and 3rd Points are the reasons smaller nation states are more attractive and can maybe work compared to our current reality...

Another argument to be made is that, Nigeria is over 60 and it is incredibly clear that in another 60 years, it won't get better than it is now.. Who knows, maybe trying something different will have a better outcome when common issues work themselves out...

If completely dividing is a hard no(I don't think dividing solves any thing now), a confederal system could be soft tested for some decades..

The plan is to destabilize the country enough that it's people can take over.

Kinda like he will give Iranian people bread and butter it's up to them to make the toast. I'm not sure they will be as mistaken to put troops on ground like Iraq or Afghanistan. That's a wasteful enterprise

The IRGC don already dey fire missiles, no time to check time. Iran have been preparing for a war against Israel/US for the past 47years. That's why they have proxy forces all around ISRAEL. FROM Hezbollah, Hamas, Yemeni Houthis

https://guardian.ng/news/nigeria/metro/association-of-non-indigenes-welfare-decries-alleged-profiling-by-anambra-govt/

The Association of Non-Indigenes Welfare, led by Chief Great Ikechukwu Ugwuoke, has condemned the Anambra State government’s alleged profiling of its members as being responsible for a majority of criminal activities in the state.

This reaction came in response to comments made by the state’s Commissioner for Information, Dr Law Mefor, during Ugwuoke’s visit.

Mefor had claimed that available data pointed to non-indigenes as the primary perpetrators of crime in the state. However, the association has refuted this claim, stating that it keeps a register of its members and that individuals who come into the state, commit crimes, and leave cannot be considered part of their community.

The association, which operates in all 21 local councils in the state, has coordinators overseeing local communities.

Ugwuoke argued that the ongoing profiling and labelling of non-indigenes as key contributors to crime was a legacy of previous administrations. He pointed out that many non-indigenes involved in criminal activities are either not residents or are not registered with the association.

The problem is u are seeing things in just one dimension. Do you think Israel/America actually wants to assassinate the Iranian leader?

They obviously want to distabilize the country such that the citizens will be forced to take over the country themselves. Why do you think the son of the shah has been appearing on TV more frequently to do state address to the Iranian people?

i think it is relevant because it is what is happening in a microcosm

if you have internal divisions in what should be tribal homogeneous states ,
tagging of non indigenes of your tribe as criminals (what is the difference between that and anti immigrant rhetoric? )

i remember one time people from SE were always calling out and blaming Ngwa as criminals on political threads
it already shows you what will happen if you get a homogeneous nation state of just your tribe.

You made a valid point. It seems Maduro didn't align himself with the people. At least, we ought to be seeing nation wide resistance group attacking US interest and their allies in Venezuela. Nothing happened. That was a very smooth victory from the Americans.
With Libya, we saw different warlords claiming territory and supremacy. Nothing like that happened in Venezuela.

This is the more reason why I believe Israel and US will fail against Iran. US is on mission to cut off Chinese oil supply route, isolate & deny China access to rare earth minerals.

Just today today, as I am typing now, there is currently violence at Ijanikin in Lagos

Two tribes are fighting; Aworis and (I can't remember the other one)

Broken windshields, vandalized cars etc are everywhere. The Nigerian Army and Police just intervened. I heard it started around 2am, but as at 6am, there was traffic because of the clash.

We see these things everywhere. Communal clashes that cannot be settled.

I don't see how we will suddenly love ourselves when we break up. Infact, we will give a voice to those minorities to even speak up and look for their own path
