If u say u no go go again. U go go drop am from where u pick am up from. Who lose?
capetownboyz:
well maybe if I was half way at 3rd mainland bridge and I said I wasn’t going again ,you will call me selfish Abi ..be playing ,when we decide to take this riders to their destination we do that from a place of care not just the money ..

capetownboyz:
we need to talk about selfishness that exist in this job towards riders and drivers ..I took a trip from Ikeja gra to awoyaya late in the evening around 4pm , though I didn’t realize what I signed up for but if anything my last experience going through that Ajah the gridlock nearly questioned my mental state ..I took this trip hoping to make some money for the day and i haven’t driven to such area before but bolt made me so ..I met the rider at the pickup location and my mind was telling me cancel this trip ,it is too far and it’s already evening and you might get stuck in traffic and I will start lamenting which I did on our way cause we were half way to awoyaya along the costal road that was yet unpaved ,I drove through the rough road my vehicle was literally vibrating through the gravel lol and she was complaining if my vehicle doesn’t have shock absorber ..We’ve gone pass sangotedo, I asked the rider Omo this your location is far oo haven’t we reached yet ,I was met with a reply ,I’m unprofessional if knew the place was far or didn’t know about the location why did I accept the trip ,why didn’t I cancel the ride..she chose her selfishness over me and she is more concerned with me getting her home safe ,while I will need to figure how to get back to Ikeja cause I hate traffic and I don’t want to be stuck in one ..Well I was fortunate enough not to meet traffic on my way back and we settled 25k for the trip ..rode back home from awoyaya to Ikeja but mehn my body was vibrating and I felt the stress I just put myself through cause I was chasing gains in this business ..so sometimes choose your feelings over this riders cause at the end of the day it’s your story to tell and you will pay the consequences for not listening to your feelings when things go wrong ..
You just dey experience trips going after Lekki Phase 2 to Ajah & the rest.

If u get intentions of coming back to the mainland with rides on week days no let 6pm nack meet u for those area

There's nothing wrong in carrying someone in agony or pain. The sick person could be you someday.

Let's try to be human sometimes. I would have rushed to that hospital to provide emergency services to the riders.
Please we also have to be very careful.
This hustle is not just about driving and making money alone, being vigilant and cautious is part of it.
I perceived an unusual situation, I avoided it (simple).
In the course of trying to save the situation, the unexpected come happen, you know wetin go sup after?
Baba, I no get strength to dey shalaye.
God won't damn me for cancelling the ride.
I understand your views, though.

Much respect, sir.

If you are the silver Corolla that was stopped for my front by VIO at Anthony inward Town planning like 20mins ago, your head is not correct.
Why you go use your own hands and legs drive your car to them when dem stopped you?
You saw VIO and na that time you come slow down...
Why won't they stop you?
Some of you need to grow some balls as Lagos drivers. angry
These people wanted to park me, too, I wind down and gave them a kee-ller look with the motion of not going to stop for anybody.
Na dem comot for road for me say make I dey go - who born monkey? angry

I enter Town planning way and another set of VIO dey in front of the LSDPC stopping people and causing traffic, I wind my windows down and waited for no illiterates.
My rider self no send.

It annoys me when I see people getting stopped by these illiterate VIO and them too go stop.

Stopping for what exactly nahh?!

I no wan know the corners dem dey, if dem jump in front of my car, na sorry be their case.

If it's not road safety corps and police, I ain't stopping. These ones self, na once in a while.

Normally 90% of VIO personnel are touts. Recruited area boys in white and black uniform looking for who extort money from.

Una head is not core-rect with those drivers stopping for Una.

grin grin When I saw your first statement on this, I was like, they've hacked our Glith phone, now I know you mean it and serious grin... But at the bolded, what exactly is your fear...
the fear of the dead in your car, the trauma,
The fear of altering your daily target
The fear of Nigerian police or implications drama,
But, you not likely to have any police case if anything happens, in as much the sick person family is with you. But your point on ollowing your mind is very VALID.
There is lots of experience when it comes to picking up the sick, moving from one hospital to another, doing jamesbond on the road to save life, at some point, you would have forgotten you are working, people will think you are also family member grin....
For those that have the mind, kudos, let's continue with care.. saving the sick may be your only reason for the day and you will have peace of mind when you do. ... it can really be scary though.

You are right to decline...but then again, you could be saving a life, it could just be a pregnant woman having a preterm labour...or so. Please when you can, try to show some empathy.
The worst that could happen is a loss of revenue.

During my wife's first pregnancy, @7months gone, she went into Preterm labour at 4am, Sangotedo, and we use Lagos Island Maternity.. at that hour, bro, no ride will get to my location easily.. thank God say I get fuel for car. Baba, I drove like a mad man!!!. At a time that construction work is already causing traffic around Sangotedo/VGC that year.. I was cutting through traffic, wife vomiting in the car and all sort.. thank God I made it to the hospital in time. She went to use 3days there before they discharged her.

.....So baba., When you can please, if the situation is dire, do your part for humanity.

Honestly, Saturdays are my worst days for this hustle. I hardly go out on Saturday...maybe early in the morning, but by 10am, I'm back home. Weekdays, you can predict traffic...Saturdays are different. Anything can happen...very unpredictable day.

There's nothing wrong in carrying someone in agony or pain. The sick person could be you someday.

Let's try to be human sometimes. I would have rushed to that hospital to provide emergency services to the riders.

This life eeh, try and have contacts with people that own cars. Because someone that owns one car is just one car fault away from being carless.

Around February, my pregnant sister who has been in the hospital for months due to the complication of her pregnancy was overdue for delivery. Unfortunately, the husband's car spoilt that period.

I had to step in and rush her to the hospital,. Before we could get to the hospital, the baby was almost dead, and my sister was battling for her life.

Unfortunately, the baby was brought out but he couldn't make it. It took hours of operation to save my sister's life.

Now, imagine if we were trying to get a ride and drivers were cancelling on us. O
Hmm my dear, may God help us in this country oh, becus me personally any situation that involves critical condition, I'll rather seek forgiveness from God for not helping them involve for police case... This country is useless country, I've seen many enter trouble becus them wan help... May God help those who need help honestly but me personally omo, ego hard oh.. B4 person begin write statements and court case, it is well. This country has turned people to heartless creatures, i saw one bike man bleeding on the floor from the head, my heart almost gave out, couldn't stand the horror, bystanders were waving cars to stop none did, including me, and it broke my heart but i understand, if e kpai for ur car, who you wan tell say na help you jus dey help? May God save Nigeria
