Reading the comments section on Daily Mail. Majority are against the unprovoked attack against Iran. But Nigerians on nairaland know more about America than Americans

The 30 missiles Iran launched. None of them targeted schools, university, market or hospital. We are seeing live footage of American military formation going up in smoke in the Middle East Region |

OkpaNsukkaisBae:Almost all their bases and equipment in the region were relocated over the past 2-3 Weeks and those bases are most likely running a skeleton crew..Not to put a downer on your talking points but these do not mean anything ... On the other hand though, I struggle to see how they will topple the regime without boots getting actively committed... Only other option is to incite a civil war by arming Iranian Civilians and militant groups(while weakening the IRGC command with airstrikes) and I don't think Trump will be that reckless... Another point to consider is that this might just be posturing, like we're wielding a big stick, bigger than you can defend against; to get them(Regime) to shift on more of their hardline stances in a fresh round of negotiations. To piggyback off of this, what if regime change isn't the end goal 🤔🤔 Just thinking out loud... |

AnfieldFan:Nope. There base in Jordan, Bahrain etc all are active. All the warship, destroyers have to be reloaded in the port. Then they have have to make use of NATO port/logistics. Turkey or Greece. Iran might escalate and hit Turkey too. As of last night, Chinese satellite were still uploading live images of US Navy movement in Jordan and Bahrain |

Has regime change ever achieved any sort of good in most of the interventions other than devastation and outpouring of refugees? We saw how the so called Arab-Spring led to the spread of instability and insecurity in the region and beyond. You complain about insecurity in Nigeria and you don't seem to understand the ripple effect that Western intervention helped fueled. We all saw how the fell of Saddam and Gaddafi led to influx of arms and battle tested fighters into neighboring countries. |

| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by AnfieldFan: 2:10pm On Feb 28 |
HansiBobo:Their vessels in Bahrain were withdrawn earlier this week..The only significant base with reasonable Equipments still on it is Jordan.. It makes sense since most of their longer range missiles were depleted during the war with Israel, hitting these bases that have been taken care of won't do much to change the trajectory of this war... If they are going full scorched earth, then the gulf states are the way to go .. As for Chinese satellites , that's the least they could do... It's not as if the US was relocating and evacuating these Equipments in secret, I can't get your tone over text, the implication I got from reading it was that it wasn't supposed to be captured, those carriers are basically mini floating cities... Pardon me if you were just pointing it out... As for Turkey, just the way I feel US won't put boots on the ground, it would be unwise to hit Turkey...You can only fight on so many fronts and Turkey is a military juggernaut... I'm curious though, what do you think the end goal is?? |

[quote author=BlueRayDick post=138612098]Nigerian army still insisting on rehabilitation of Boko Haram terrorists in 2026. 🤦♂️ to let you know that there is little or no hope for victory. The political will to completely eliminate Boko Haram is not there, and political will is one of the major decisive factors in war. Political will and morale often trump sheer military might in determining victory and both are lacking in this war. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 2:23pm On Feb 28 |
afrodoc2:It's a shame! They just lack that will to defeat Boko Haram. Maybe they are okay with budgeting billions of naira for fighting insecurity every year. |
