Public outrage is growing across Nigeria following a shocking statement by Major General Micheal Onoja regarding the government's approach to the Boko Haram insurgency. Speaking during a high-level briefing in Abuja, the General officially defended the "Operation Safe Corridor" program, which rehabilitates and deradicalizes surrendered insurgents.

While General Onoja highlighted significant counter-terrorism wins—claiming forces have neutralized dozens of terrorists and successfully rescued over 400 kidnap victims—the core of his message focused on reintegrating these fighters back into society. He argued that these insurgents are still Nigerians and deserve counseling and skills training under the laws of war.

This announcement has sparked intense backlash among Nigerians, especially from families of fallen soldiers and victims of terror who feel abandoned. Many are questioning why terrorists are being pampered with leniency and skill acquisition programs while innocent victims continue to suffer in IDP camps.
In response to the heat, General Onoja promised a government review to tackle the recurring issue of recidivism, where "rehabilitated" terrorists return to the forest to take up arms against the state again.

evident by the number of pilgrims to hajj under govt sponsorship. Since civil war ended, what we have is an islamic army. An army with a careful blend of jalonian youths and christian northerners.

But they shoot on sight unarmed IPOB members protesting peacefully.

The difference is IPOB are freedom fighters,boko haram terrorists are not.



Nigeria love terrorists and hate agitators because keeping British company called Nigeria together is more important than lives of Nigerians.

This is part of the reasons why Nigeria will never make any meaningful progress. The hatred for the Igboman is the albatross of the Nigerian state.
