Good evening farmers I ask myself sometimes, joining my question to the countless I receive daily, Willy why agriculture ?.
In my farm there is the fullness of the Lord, in my farm there is Bliss. Delve deeper into my farm and there shall be gnashing of teeth.

I won't blame bear gryls or the discovery and nat Geo guys, it ain't no fault of theres. These were my favorite stations I could say from birth.

Happily have eaten snakes, frogs, tortoise lived off the land even as am currently broke and indebted, me a former rich bush Man. Agriculture has given and it's taken. Last year was an uppercut.

My farm gave me my first millions as savings with an initial starting capital of 400k staring with hoes in plots to using tractors in hectares with location in two states of the federation.

Daily I shall sit along the dam banks watching birds fish and have there fill, while I update this thread.
Farming stole nairaland from me even as nairaland is the biggest single contributor after God to my growth.

The more the task the less time for phone, family, social media, etc always thinking of the next job to be done. The work never ends

Good afternoon everyone, how goes the Sunday, to my fellow farmers it's another week to plan and prepare for the rains.

Where will you farm ?
how will you farm ?
what will you farm ?
What price will you sell ?

Very important questions all farmers bear in mind this year, even as we head into the bushes.

For question number one the where, I believe I have solved that part by japa to Iwo osun states. I now work with Surging Momentum Foods.
Our Lands are private clusters bulldozed in clusters of varying acreages totaling 5000acres. Most of the land fencing has been done and the host community is multi ethnic and religious.
Surging Momentum has its own private Dam where tilapia, catfish, mudfish and various varieties are breed naturally and harvested during the dry season. Harvest began November and will be carried out till rain resumes and the dam is restocked. Tons of fish is harvested daily. Yes there are cows here but grazing field has been allocated to in house cattles and partners. I will hire land from surging Momentum.

How will you farm ? Surging Momentum has a fleet of tractors and combine harvester's ready and available to carry out work anywhere in the south West of Nigeria but as for me willy, I will just pay per acre and carry out work slow and steady acre by acre as we try once again to make money this year so we can be debt free. Missing an independent winfarms already

Finally, you relocated from Benue to SW! You are welcome bro. I think the only advantage here in SW over the Benue is the availability of markets. Benue has the land and the cheap manpower. I wl love to come see how the dam works and its architecture.
