israelmao:You people keep embarrassing yourself with this ignorant talk a bright child of 12 should not be guilty of. Where Tinubu met Forex rate in 2023 benefitted ordinary Nigerians how? Was is not the mullahs up North , with their bureau De Change arbitrage scam, carting billions to the bank because of huge differences between bank and black market rate while Legit Nigerians who needed access to Forex could not get it? The value of Naira, as with virtually everything else before Tinubu, was being subsided and artificially inflated. That is the opposite of what any ambitious and growth/development-focused nation would want or endure with because it means Naira will never be a truly convertible currency the world can have confidence in and use as one of the major currency of international trading. For example, electricity is poor in Nigeria because government after government chose subsidy that only guarantees darkness and debilitating under-investment in the power sector, delivering the archaic infrastructure that now sees condemnable and regular crashes of the national power grid. Whereas forcing Nigeria to pay the true amount it cost to generate, transmit and distribute power is the way every developed nation has done it to then become industrialised and great. Some of you are better going back to primary school to gain basic education instead of coming here to deliver ignorant argument simply because you feel you must discredit everything done by a leader you hate primordially and perhaps because of his ethnic or religious origin. |

WizardOfNG:Na you suppose go back to elementary school. Simple question you can't answer; how much did Tinubu/APC met Naira but you started ranting off track with this your nonsensical grammar. I want to ask you, was your life not better off before APC came into power. Your Tinubu fought Jonathan and frustrated him that he shouldn't remove subsidy but he came in and removed it and you sycophants were hailing him No be juju be this ? |

zegxy:Just accept you no sabi book and lack basic ability to reason productively and intelligently. Many Nigerians, including leaders, are natural and brazen scammers. That is why leaders after leaders believed conning the world Naira was worth more than it is was is a beneficial thing to do whereas we were only self-harming and condemning ourselves to third world stagnation. Leaders before RmTinubu scammed you so much you developed Stockholm Syndrome to be defending your oppressors and resenting your liberators. As I said to the other chap, go back to primary school ogbeni. If you did you might gain the education to help you appreciate the leader working sincerely to better your lot and that of your generations unborn. Then you would not be here praising past President refusing to teach you how to fish and weaponising poverty and underdevelopment of the masses by giving you scraps of fish, through many subsidies, to keep you content with how you don't even live as well as pets do in the UK and Canada. |

Yvngex:Don't mind them. It isn't nice to be rude to others but some.Nigerians deserve it because they are so dull and ignorant yet they are the most verbally abusive and insulting towards others. The value of the Naira was being shored up articifally with billions of dollars by Governments before Tinubu instead of us following the organic path of strengthening our currency through proper economic growth as all others have done it . How is that self-destructive approach sustainable or desirable for the long term growth and development of Nigeria? Look how we have used currency, fuel, education and electricity subsidies (all glorified scams enriching a tiny minority) to thoroughly mess our nation up and set her back 100 years behind the most developed Countries in the world yet some will come here backing their own enslavement simply because they won't ever consider going online to do basic and enlightening research. The world is saying what the ladies below are and some poverty-addicted ignorant folks, who do not know what it means to really live, are making redundant noise. So annoying. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ph5XCf8jgOE?si=MYHDQZ7S0do-RXtU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ez513apDCUc?si=LjOlh_taHL3G2cix |

WizardOfNG:Your exhibition of intellctual arrogance and naivety are well understood and it is delightful to watch that APC government of now is against APC of yesterday.Where is the CHANGE it promised then? What was the value of dollar to naira in 2023 without even going back to PDP's days and what is it today? Everyone saw how Emilokan's phantom project of resuscitation of Nigerian Refineries went up in flames if not Dangote Refinery that came to the rescue Nigerian petroleum industry would have been stuck and rotten in the rut. |

The article says Professor Iyabo Obasanjo stated that the recent stabilisation of the Nigerian Naira against the dollar is a positive development for President Bola Tinubu’s administration because a more predictable exchange rate helps businesses plan costs, improves trade, and supports economic growth, while she also praised infrastructure efforts like the Lagos Calabar Coastal Road for their potential to improve transport links, connect ports, and boost commercial activity, adding that increased international cooperation and security collaboration are contributing to broader economic confidence. |

israelmao:Bro just keep quite. You don't even have a fundamental understanding of the basics yet you and your ilk are the most insulting and uncouth against others. It shows how ignorant you are to be mentioning the failed and disgraced PDP here because that is the biggest confirmation you don't understand what real socio-economic liberation for a people resemble. Go and educate yourself. You're horrendously ignorant |

reddingtonblack:ou’re wrong — we’ve had a positive trade balance, so please verify that. She’s not referring to the naira’s price, but to its stability against the dollar. Stability matters more than the price itself, which is why the CBN intervened to prevent excessive appreciation. The fair value may be around 1050–1200 per dollar, but intervention was necessary since volatility discourages economic activity by increasing uncertainty and risk. |

There’s no point going back and forth if you don’t know that stability is more important than price—or know our trade balances. Best wishes reddingtonblack: |

WizardOfNG:Now I see how unwise you are for comparing an era in which Nigerian economy was ranked among the best twenty economies in the world with an era of bottlefed and forcefed economy.I doubt whether the best school in the world will be able to properly reposition your mind for better knowledge. |
