Na data boys be the so-called Nigerians. They are trying everything to cause chaos for other political parties and Nigeria. Tomorrow their family members won't know why curse de follow dem. A group of people that don't care about posterity and making a good name. Na only to chop today and tomorrow would take care of itself. Forgetting that their children will also meet the mess they created and supported in the future Understandable. But does it now excuse this ADC charades and their level of preparedness? Let's call a spade a spade.

in as much as this is rubbish, you still have to go do physical at ward, so all those information will be cleared when verification is done,

ADC cannot get a website right. Ordinary website o!

But they want to get Nigeria on the right track.
There is a vetting process, the fake id would be weeded out at the ward level during authentication process.
Dont just criticise, read to understand

In the end, we will all suffer the consequences of bad governance together regardless of party affiliation.

What some Nigerians fail to realize is that this is not a competition to see "whose" candidate or party wins the presidency come 2027. Rather, it's a collective effort to saveour country and our future. Add another 4 years to your age and you'll understand that you might not live long to see a better Nigeria unless we drop this childish mentality and face reality. APC has failed and there's no reason to give them a second term unless you are benefiting from the open theft
Let us even accept that APC has failed but is this ADC the rescuer, that will rescue Nigeria,we all know these politicians in the party and their antecedents.

There's no way opposition can do that and you know it. When INEC chair is appointed by the president who is the leader of the ruling party.

Simple NIN validation and face recognition algorithm is enough to eliminate this. Unfortunately, Most developers dont understand how to ensure data correctness.
I wouldn't have faulted the developers much, due to the fact that it's just an external membership registration website for the masses to have an ID, except for the fact that they allowed alphabetical characters in NIN registration shows that even the form as an HTML element wasn't properly defined.

That, to me, shows they didn't think the website through at all.

Keep shifting blames, a simple NIN verification through auth providers will prevent this, why now collect NIN when you won't verify it

Truth is that you cannot have assess to nin database to verify as they are not a government entity or financial institution. Their verification can only be manual.
What do you mean by "have access" abeg? Like they access NIN database and be checking like Classroom register? Ain't they making simple API calls to the NIN database when you want to sign up?

How did APC do theirs without making a mockery of themselves like this? If this was APC, by now we won't hear word.

How will INEC know they have met statutory requirements of having a digital register when they throw up inflated numbers?

Integrity of the membership register is important. So they could validate the NIN against NIMC.

You're right, but you can see I deliberately ignored the right requirement analysis to focus on the fundamentals- i.e. the NIN characters should have been only numeric, that's where I knew they just did something shabbily and it's inexcusable.

I mean, even if all the knowledge you have is HTML and CSS, you could still design a website better than that and integrate with ID verification using any reasonable CMS, but the lack of fundamentals shows they threw caution to the wind.

How Indorama sustains manufacturers, boosts Nigeria’s FX earnings

Indorama Eleme Petrochemicals Limited (IEPL) has emerged as a major value creator in the Nigerian economy. It is responsible for the survival, growth and sustenance of many manufacturing companies in Nigeria today. A large number of plastic and allied firms depend on the Eleme-based company for petrochemical resins (or polymer resins) which serve as their raw materials.

The petrochemical company is just one of the several subsidiaries of Indorama-Nigeria Group, which also comprises Indorama Eleme Fertilizer & Chemicals Limited (IEFCL), Indorama PET Nigeria Limited, and Indorama Port Operations.

Since Indorama Corporation of Indonesia became core investor in the old Eleme Petrochemicals Company Limited (EPCL) in 2006 through privatisation programme of the Federal Government, the group has become a game changer in the Nigerian economy.

The petrochemical company has solved the major challenge facing a number of manufacturers— poor access to raw materials. Rather than scramble for foreign exchange to import inputs, the company ensures that manufacturers have access to their critical raw materials, enabling them to save costs and improve margins.

The major resins used by plastic and allied companies are polyethylene and polypropylene. Indorama produces about 45 grades of these products for various industries. About 600 of such companies in Nigeria depend on IEPL for their survival. They are estimated to have over 90,000 workers.
