I think from top to bottom our security agencies don't have the willpower to combat these crimes.

If u noticed the guy mentioned he found his way to a military base and had to speak with the major in charge, but no mention of whether the military guys even make attempt to comb the environs to try and seek out the criminals.

Sometimes these POS machines are hijacked on gunpoint. There was an incident in Damaturu, they kidnapped the man one Alhaji Yau Mohd who runs a money lending and POS business, they used his machines to collect ransom from several victims, eventually when their hideout was raided by a crack team of Special forces military and F-SARS agents, we rescued Alhaji, he was then taken into Police custody by the F-SARS agents who accused him of working with the kidnappers in normal police fashion eventually they released the poor man

Yeah, US has a humongous budget but China isn't too far behind them in defence expediture the way you make it seem.
US defense budget hovers around $900bn -1tn yearly while China's is around $300bn. But in terms of PPP (purchasing power parity) China's real spending is about $550bn. Still, even the US disputes the figures saying China reduce their actual defence budget spending on paper because their militarisation rate is rapid AF and seems outsized than the budget declared.
