The don't want to get hammered like the rest countries with US military bases in their country. After all the US expensive air defense junk could not save them from getting hammered by Iranian missiles. So why would Spain agree to such? Lol. The fear of Ballistic missiles is the beginning of wisdom. US Patriot air defense systems, THAAD, Iron Dome, David Sling could not protect 9 Middle East countries from Iran.
