One of the main reasons US weapons has popularity is because of its pact with the EU. Those ones can't produce many heavy military equipment on their own, so they rely on uncle Sam to do it for them. Also, another major and probably the most important decider is because US likes to sanction countries for using Chinese or Russian weaponry. So countries who don't want that smoke or lack the leverage to just play it safe and go for platforms that comes with lesser problems. Hence, US fighters/ weaponry are more popular because of the EU and it's Asian puppets like Korea and Japan etc.
I'll just assume you don't understand how geopolitics play in weapons purchase.

True, USA is ahead already in fifth generation fighter aircraft race, being the pioneers. But presently in the next race to fielding 6th gen fighters, China is already ahead with them already testing not one but TWO aircrafts, to the awe of the West. The J-36 and J-50 says hi to the next era of air superiority; while the USA F-47 6th gen fighter jet is still stuck in PowerPoint slide.

I'll give the USA credit with the B-21 Raider, although much specifics isn't known about it yet, since it's still new.



In case you don't know, China has overseas bases too. Not just up to US numbers and just a few.

USA has over 200 years long history of colonizing and external aggression against other countries.
Not the same with China.
This is not about whether China has the capacity or not. The largest holders of US debt is China. They're not just that interested in world military domination unless it concerns their region.
And in the future China would become more assertive about it's overseas interests as it's economic power and military continues to grow. For now..... they're more about shrinking US power in the Asian Pacific.

So, I don't even think you know just how much money China has at their disposal. The same China that the West are crying about foreign loans to other countries labelling them unsustainable. The same people wey dey cry about Chinese subsidy in billions of dollars.

China had a trade surplus vs the entire world with a $1.2tn trade surplus in 2025 despite Trump's antics to spoil that revenue pull. That's larger than even the Pentagon's budget. So all this talk wey you talk so, I no sure say you Sabi the economics.

One thing many average people seem to be missing about the world's geopolitics; it's all about LOCATION/REGION.

Look at the map and see the location of the World's powers. Look at the UNSC five permanent members — US, Russia, China, France, UK. Look at their regions. The USA basically has no enemies or strong powerful country that could challenge them close to its borders.

So, USA has the luxury of fomenting trouble in other regions and going scot free because their location is largely peaceful. Canada and Mexico na basically outskirts states to the USA. No threats. When you no get issue at home, e easy to dey form world police. Abi you people no dey hear of Nigerian history and the interventions in Liberia and Sierra Leone? Why can't Nigeria do it frequently now when trouble is brewing everywhere, even tho we are the regional power. They just did minimal deployment in Benin coup attempt because it was a matter of our existence.

We left the Nigeriens, Burkina Faso and co with their shenanigans because, you dey deal with Boko Haram and military dey shout about inadequate equipment, shey na him you wan dey reason ECOWAS expedition for faraway land stretching your military thin and your budget.

Funny thing is not that Nigeria can't do these interventions. Some things just deserve logic.

The point I'm getting to is that this is the reason China or Russia can't attempt what the USA is currently doing. China has someone like India that's also a powerful nation as a neighbour, there's also Russia to the North that although they're allies isn't one to be trusted 100%. You still have to deal with an imperial Japan to the South. I'm not even talking about the other smaller nations in the South China Sea like the Philippines, Vietnam etc. Russia has similar problems. Same as UK and France in Europe.

So, if you're the one, you're telling me your main issue will be trying to police someone in West Africa how he should run his government or economy? Let's be logical here.

You think if not for Iran and the rogue Arabs you think Israel won't cross the Mediterranean and start fights with Turkey? It's because of its regional security it is/should focus in it's domain of influence instead of stretching itself thin.

Though I will admit I don't know much about their economics outside their trade dynamics, wars and booming economy but till they are able to translate that to worldwide superiority or other angles to catch up or depose the US na Washington still be number one. A simple and important advice to our abroad Naija brothers, I think y'all should stay safe & avoid staying close to UK/US or French military bases in the UK or France. I don't know why you are celebrating the unprovoked attack against Iran when this particular attack can escalate and endanger your safety in the UK or France.

Why I mentioned the UK & France is because they're the two European NATO members who provided Ukraine with long range missiles to attack Russia. Just last week, Ukraine struck a missile factory in Ural, this particular location is almost 3,000km away from the nearest Ukrainian border.

Iran and Russia are partners, there's nothing stopping Putin & Russia to give Iran long range missiles that can hit mainland UK or France. What is good for the goose is good for the gander. This is what we call proxy war. And I suspect that's the reason Iran is attacking France & UK military bases in the region. They want to drag them into the war.
