Funny enough, we've seen this exact same strategy being used by Hamas, Hezbollah and Houthis.

They waste their arsenals on a saturation attack on the first few days of their conflicts. Then their social media propagandists then flood social media with propaganda that they are winning. Then as the conflicts drags on, their arsenal rapidly go 100% to less than 5%, by then it becomes too obvious to deny that they are losing. This is when their social media propagandists change their propaganda from boastful declarations that "they are winning" to emotional appeal of "They are under attack, and they didn't do anything wrong".

They have won every social media war but never actually won a real war!
