Yesterday, my leader, Dr Adegboyega Oyetola, CON, and I had the distinct honour of being received by our leader and father, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa. Our meeting was deeply reassuring and forward-looking.

At the meeting, I expressed my profound appreciation to Mr President and Commander-in-Chief for his support, statesmanship, leadership and unwavering commitment to the ideals of progressive governance that continue to shape our great party and nation.

As we prepare for the forthcoming governorship election in Osun State, I am further strengthened by the Mr President’s enduring belief in my capacity and in the principles of purposeful leadership, economic renewal and people-centered development. Mr President's vision for a prosperous Nigeria remains a guiding light for us at the state level.

With this meeting, I am more determined and committed to consolidating our party’s unity, deepening grassroots engagement, and presenting a clear, actionable blueprint that will reposition our state for sustainable growth and shared prosperity.

The journey ahead is one of responsibility, courage and service. Together, we will build the Osun of our collective aspirations.

They will confidently inform you that God does not support Tinubu’s presidency, despite the small, inconvenient detail that he is, in fact, the sitting president. One begins to wonder, did they attend a private strategy meeting with the Almighty where He expressed regret over His own decision?

In their theology, God seems to be locked in a fierce power struggle with some rival being who occasionally outsmarts Him. It is a fascinating doctrine, divine sovereignty, but only when it aligns with personal preference.

Governor Ademola Adeleke is touted as a worker-friendly governor. However, in 2025, the Ọsun State Government generated ₦381 billion in revenue yet did not pay a single kobo towards settling outstanding gratuity arrears. This occurred in a year when the governor reportedly spent ₦7.7 billion travelling around the world.

Lazy politicians... They are in governance all for the purpose of theft... Steal the money and thereafter be ready to face the consequences...

● Governor Adeleke Approves Another N4b+ for Pensioners

OSOGBO – 01/05/2025

Led by the Chairman of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Arapaja and Chairman, Trade Union Congress (TUC), Comrade Bimbo Fasasi, the labour unions announced their endorsement of the Governor, citing due consultations with labour rank and file and overwhelming positive performance of the governor.

The labour leaders in their separate speeches listed several landmark achievements of Governor Adeleke in support of workers’ welfare to include the following:

●Prompt payment of full salary to date;

●Prompt payment of gratuities and pension to retirees;

●Continuous payment of outstanding salary arrears owed by the past administration to workers and retirees;

●full payment of all outstanding cooperative deductions;

●workers promotion with pay rise;

●free Health Insurance cover for all Osun State Pensioners;

●payment of N10,000.00 to pensioners under Contributory Scheme;

●full implementation of National Minimum Wage of N75,554.28k for all workers and N25,000.00 for all our pensioners among others.
