But they have the money 💰 for coastal road project?

Coastal Road project and stable electricity, which should come first in a scale of preference?

LordBiden:
Politics and sentiments aside,24/7 power in Nigeria is not possible.

It would cost Nigeria up to 5 trillion naira or more to generate and distribute stable power supply,of which Nigeria doesn't have the money.

These is not about APC or pdp,the maths doesn't add up.

Even the 5 trillion won't be enough coz currently, the federal government is owing gencos 6.6 trillion grin and Nigerians themselves cannot afford to pay for premium electricity other countries enjoy

Close to that amount of money has been stolen from the Nigerian people for the past 5 years or something.

Nigeria don't have which money? Do you read how many billions these guys are stealing or stole lately? These just the figures caught, not the total.

An you believe that. That means you're gullible.

We don't have the technology let us buy it and study it like most nation do.

Siemens, GE, Schneider, Southern Star,SMT.
To name a few these are power generation companies that have conquered difficult terrains. If Nigeria can bring them in things will be better.

But Federal government keep deceiving themselves that Nigeria have the capacity to generate electricity. That is the story we have been hearing since independence.

FG stated that they need a minimum of $10B annually for the next 20 years, to completely resolve Nigeria's Power Issue!

That fact that he stated facts and some people are here arguing it as if they are not living in Nigeria.
No place in Nigeria has 24hrs light. At most you get 18hrs, or little above it.
Maybe I am wrong since I haven’t traveled the whole Nigeria.
But most place, especially areas lived by a common man, and that’s like more than 80% of Nigeria.
None enjoys 24hrs light. In fact most places in Nigeria rarely see 10hrs of light.
And he is right.
As a writer, I am sometimes pumped to write, but having no light would kill every desire to write.
When the light comes, you might not be in the moon to even type a single word.

This shows your area is not on Band A. If you are on Band A, minimum of 22 hours is sure but you'll pay through your nose.

Maybe, he has been living in one environment all his life. He should try and locate to another town/city like Almadija Ifako Ijiayi in Lagos... AIT Alagbado... Abi some part of Lokoja and Ajaokuta... Come to these places I have mentioned and you will see the wonder of 72 hours uninterrupted power supply.

I doubt that obasanjo laid a good foundation for power by privatising NEPA but yaradua messed things up came and reversed it.

Yaradua only saw NEPA as an office where his fellow northerners can make money from
Obasanjo finally killed NEPA when it was privatized. They all stole NEPA grants always

See a kettle calling a pot black. Truth be told, power supply has improved under the current government than at anytime before. Though, we are not where we should be,

Also, the era of no-fuel at the fueling stations is long gone. Little steps that should be appreciated.

Ironfaceman:
I hope Sarz will not be tagged ADC member.
I complained about the epileptic power in the country here on nairaland.

To my great surprise a nairalander said he enjoys 22hrs of power in lagos, when I asked where exactly do you stay in lagos the dimwit lost his tongue..

Honestly every Nigerian need to be given a Guinness World record for surviving Nigeria..

The system is faulty from the start ... The way it is been structured leaves room for corruption. I think we should find models that works in other countries, where subsidy is not been paid and electricity is still supplied 24/7.
