What's the big deal about church?
My husband and I do not attend church.
We didn't wed in church.
We had court and traditional marriage ceremonies.
I stopped going to church when I got into the university. And for almost 18 years now, I haven't attended any church service.
We did not dedicate our children in any church or religious gathering and we are all doing well.

What is even this church?

That her pastor is not a true man of God, how can a pastor support a woman to rebel the husband under any guise. It has been a long standing rule that a lady's wedding should be in her church after which she will relocate to the husband's church. You know you don't like the man's church why would you marry him. Secondly the man should have exercised patience and focus on getting the woman pregnant since dem don marry. After which he can change the woman's heart.

This second option can never work , anything that was not agreed before can't be agreed later on and if the husband tries to do anything, he will be told but you allowed it before , so why crying now

if u were attending different churches while dating there should be room for the possibility of attending different churches during marriage and maybe over time after visiting each others church a jointly agreed change can happen but it cannot be by force or by I'm the man of the house. Some things u have to give it time.

Now he has divorced his wife over church and his pastors insistence let the pastor give him a wife from his church and let's hope no issues come up from that union.

They are both stupid. These are conversations that you settle during courtship. Where did they have the pre marital counseling?

The whole relationship or dating or talking stage was an exercise in futility and the so called wife's pastor is at fault here too. Some clergymen need to know that once a female from their congregation is married there's a tendency for her to go fellowship in her husband's church but look at what we have here..

Marriage isn't something you just dabble into without doing proper checks and balances.

Women who are religious and emotionally attached to their churches and pastors are completely red flag. The woman is probably nacking her pastor, or assistant pastor or a male member or senior pastor in that church, hence the reason she's so unwilling to leave.

You are holy right. I and my spouse are not really into church going, we didn't even do child dedication for our children in any church but right there in our home the kids are nurtured in the knowledge of GOD.
In such my first son- 4 years, has a culture of calling for daily devotion.
Church is basically for people who are yet to find their bearing spiritually.

The couple in question are baby believers, they lack knowledge. It sadly cost them their union.
