• President Tinubu, chairing the Federal Executive Council, approved ₦24 billion for the construction of the 82 Division/Abakpa Junction Flyover in Enugu.

• The President also approved the immediate and expedited reconstruction of the collapsed twin New Artisan Bridge.

• President Tinubu gave approval for the speedy construction of Eke Obinagu Flyover, Emene, in support of the dualisation of the 21.7km Abakaliki Road from the Airport Flyover to the Ebonyi State border by the Peter Mbah administration.

• The President approved the continued funding of the reconstruction of Enugu - Onitsha Expressway. See the transformation of the stretch from Abakpa Junction to Trans Ekulu flyover towards 9th Mile

• President Tinubu approved the ongling dualization of the 9th Mile – Obollo Afor – Oturkpo highway after decades of neglect and abandonment.

• The President approved the release of funds for the continuation of the reconstruction of the Enugu–Port Harcourt Expressway.

While listing what Enugu has supposedly gained from “connecting to the centre,” he suddenly suggested he should stop for now. One wonders: has the list been exhausted, or is there simply too much left to praise?

By that logic, if Enugu had not connected to the centre, the President, whom some hail as a democrat would never have approved it, and Enugu would have gained nothing.

That, I must say, is sycophancy at its finest.

The man in question is a psychophant who is only interested in looking after his pockets.

To the question, i don’t see any meaningful thing that the state has benefited since the governor defected.
The coal industry which Tinubu promised to revitalize in one of his campaigns is still in comatose.
The proposed rail master plan excludes the state and other south east states.
Also is the gas plan which doesn’t have any of the south east states in consideration.
The three mentioned projects would propel the state into an economic and industrial powerhouse if successfully implemented.

The only project the FG is currently working on in that area is the continuation of the Enugu/Onitsha and Enugu/PH roads which is done at the slowest pace. Even Buhari’s era wasn’t this slow when they worked on some portions of the road.
